My grounding is in the 'Classic' 'Rock' and 'Acoustic Folk' and 'Blues' of all sorts. But I have a great appreciation of 1930's-'40's Big Band music (thanks Dad) and of late have been exploring 'Euro-Pagan Folk' and 'Middle Eastern Folk' music. I linked an example of each in case anyone is interested.

I’m really into pagan folk and world music. But I also really love folksy country every bit as much as I love alt and classic rock.

Ooooh! Favourite music types! A mix of orchestral and rock sounds really good.

Soft rock, folk, 80s, 90s alternative rock, and ppl like Florence and the Machine and Adelle.

I like Imagine Dragons (my favorite album is Night Visions), Panic at the Disco, Fall Out Boy, and some of Twenty One Pilots.
I have a math test tomorrow I shouldn't even be on here lol

My main Genres are Video Game Music(Yes that is now considered a Genre finally thanks to the Grammys), Classical music(Holst Tchaikovsky etc), Classic Rock, New Wave, Film Music(Soundtracks), and Anime.

So, yeah, basically I am an "old school creature of the night" with mostly listening to stuff like Batcave, GothRock, DarkWave, NeoRomanntics, Neofolk, SuizidePop....
But also a bit of Metal/BlackMetal/Folk/EpicMetal
Dark Elektro like EBM (but only a little bit)
and alternative Stuff (I am still the generartion who grew up with Grunge and with Kurt Cobain alive)
but also Classical music and Movie/Games/Retro Games Soundtracks...

so pretty diverse however mostly of the "darker" spectrum

In all honesty, I listen to... pretty much everything.
I'm picky about country (extremely so) and screamo / hard metal type stuff (altho I do enjoy it upon occasion)
but my favorite? That's a difficult question to answer lol

My kneejerk reaction is 80s music. 80s music never ceases to make me smile and dance like an absolute moron or sing so loud that my voice cracks because tbh, Total Eclipse of the Heart is my absolute jam

When it comes to "proper" bands most that I listen to are a few things from Queen, Bowie and King Crimson. There's also a British bloke called Frank Turner who writes some good stuff.

Classic rock, thrash metal, and country are my favorite genres, though I do love some video game music, anime sounstracks and jazz as well. These are my top favorite songs at the moment

Celtic music, soundtracks, and 80's music. Currently my favorite song is "Heat of the Moment" by Asia.

I have the DVD of some of their videos. Whetton, Downes, Howe, and Palmer! Thinking of Asia reminded me of Emerson, Lake, and Palmer (Of which only Carl Palmer lives today) reminded me of my favourite Christmas song by Greg Lake.

I love me some emo

I listen to just about anything but I like listening to rock and electronica. I also like listening to certain soundtracks as well.

The music I listen to really depends on my mood, though lately I've been listening to these songs quite a bit:

My favorite type of music?

...Anything rock, metal, or techno/tech-based. Alternative rock, emo rock, classic rock, heavy metal, synth metal, symphonic metal, drumstep, dubstep, techno jazz, I love it all, oh my gods.

But uh, favorite bands and artists...? Come back to me later if you're looking for a full and extensive list. I don't have much of an idea of who I like exactly because I go for whatever sounds good at the moment, you know?

Oh! I can rattle off who I adore from the top of my head, though! Panic At The Disco, Utada Hikaru, Fall Out Boy, My Chemical Romance, Three Days Grace, Queen... Just to name a few of my true musical loves.
