A creature that is neither demon nor angel. One that sides with the light yet looks to the darkness. This creature sleeps within the holds of the oldest temple, sealed away for some forgotten purpose. This creature is mentioned in almost every battle in the olden times. A creature that could kill without remorse. A perfect warrior. This creature was born of malice and said to have no heart. A creature that lives with no soul. It's awakening was told in legends but was never imagined to be real. Today would be the foretold day. A day of an eclipse, a day of total darkness when the light can provide no protection from the evil creatures. Today was the day the great Thana of Darkness awakes from her eternal slumber.

There was sun in the sky for the moon was blocking it. The day of the black sun. A temple lay in the center of a dark forest, covering in vines. Though none grew in the entrance as if they were scared of what is held in the great temple. Inside the temple, it was cold. There were lit torches leading down the long entrance of the temple, torches that should've died long ago. There has never been anyone brave enough to enter the temple. If they were brave enough, they would come to a room that seemed to huge for the great temple. A sheathed katana and a black necklace lay in the middle of the room, surrounded by a spell circle that let only humanoid creatures touch the items. If one were to look up, they would see a hole in the ceiling that revealed the sky and the black sun. There was a lone figure chained to the wall across from the main entrance. Her incredibly, long bluish purple hair covered her face and her body. She was wearing a white kimono and seemed to be unconscious. There was a black dragon tribal tattoo around her wrist and a strange black tattoo on her back.

Krin was someone who had heard of this tale before, but he was someone who didn't really grip fear of it. He pushed a bit of his crimson hair out of the way as he put his back up against a tree whispering, 'Dont touch the light. His hair started to drip with black liquid as it got on his skin and spread, his eyes looking like someone had tore them out. He slowly became nothing but a mere black figure as he sunk into the ground.

I must do this...for my sister...who always wanted to face her fears.

The male became a shadow as he moved through the darkness. He found himself entering the temple, but still a shadow, one of mystery. He tried to make his pressances almost dead, getting close to the area of the lady.

Thana stirred but didn't wake. The necklace glowed darkly but the spell circle didn't allow the black spirit to return to it's body. The black spirit let out an evil growl, becoming angry. It slammed into the walls of it's prison again but the spell held. It sensed the other being and whispered something. The language it spoke was old and forgotten so it was hard to understand it. It was easy to tell though that it wanted free from it's dusty prison. Thana kept her position, unable to move without her spirit.

Something both human and inhuman was moving about with the curiosity of a child. Her skin was tight and dull, nearly the same color as the potato sack she wore as clothes. But what did she care about clothes? Not much. She simply didn't want to be different. Or was it just instinct that drove her to do those things? "Those things" being mimicking other humans.

But for now, the strange creature wandered around, searching for nothing in particular other than familiarity. Perhaps something she would see in this world would help her develop herself more as far as personality and identity goes? Her steps were uneven and only slightly slow. Her head was very twitchy, as she was constantly looking around even through all the strange darkness. She'd often fall or run into trees or stumble off to the side, but soon she'd get back on track and continue walking.

Eventually, she found the temple. Seeing nothing like it before, the childish thing walked up to the entrance a few moments behind Krin and... just kept walking. She didn't seem to mind the presence of another. She just wanted to see this place. Oh hey, there was a person there! Let's go check it out, shall we?

And so the girl (or what once was a girl) half-hobbled-half-stumbled her way up to the two. And, if one was easily frightened, they likely would achieve the same feeling of terror by watching her approach. She had many jagged, uneven horns protruding from her head and shoulders. Her fingers extended into long, fleshy claws. Her feet were bare and looked similar to her hands, although they were cloven. Her biggest horns were on her head and left shoulder. The rest were scattered about her body in clusters. The only distinguishable mark on her body that wasn't a horn or what have you was an upside down cross burned (or so it looked to be) on her forehead and the center of her chest. Much of the latter couldn't be seen thanks to the potato sack.

So yes! Point being that a creepy creature walks into a temple, starts observing Krin and Thana up close. Warning: she will touch.

Krin's eyes slowly shifted to a devilish red, his claws showing. He could sense her...he knew she...or...it was there. Krin, no matter what, would usually beat the crap out of something if it freaked him out, but...he didn't really want to hurt this person who was like a zombie compared to him at times. His shadow rose behind him and scattered across the wall, blocking any way further for the little freak child. He slowly turned his head and smirked. "Get past that thing, you may step forward...otherwise you arnt even worth my patients of dealing with you." He smirked, knowing he let his shadow be weak to let her pass forward. He wanted to know more about her. He continued forward, his head turning so he may scan the place better, the whispers from that other female driving him up the wall. Like a shadow himself, he disappeared into the darkness whispering, 'Stay in the darkness.' he soon came apon the chamber of the female who lay there, soulless.
His head tilted on much curiosity as he gently stroked her cheek. "Hm..." His hand quickly pulled away, it trembling now.

Ugh...it's not a good time for a panic attack....

Now, although she behaves in a manner similar to a mentally unbalanced child, the small woman was indeed a woman. Perhaps she could pass for a twelve or thirteen year old due to how thin she was, but she definitely was a woman. Or... what once was a woman. Krin's movements do not startle her, neither does the unnatural shadow. The woman against the wall didn't seem too out of place either. It was almost as if everything here, everything in existence, was normal. There was nothing to fear. So when Krin spoke, the girl cocked her head sharply to the side and stared at him, those pin-point red pupils gawking.

"Step... worth patience... you," she repeated, voice droning on. "Get past forward. Dealing." It didn't seem like she was trying to make sense of it, just that she was repeating different words he said in an attempt to sound like she was making conversation.

"Get past... you...," she said, taking a few steps forward. She didn't even realize what she said, either! Something that sounded like a laugh forced its way out of her throat. Her body racked with each bout of laughter, but it was quiet. Maybe it just felt natural to make those noises? She twitched her way closer, eyes peering between Krin and the girl. She outstretched her arms to touch the man shortly before he walked away, hidden within the darkness.

Thana stirred again when she felt his hand. The muscles in her back twitched as if she was trying to wake but again she went still. The sound of breaking glass came from the small spell prison. Her necklace had turned into a small fox with crimson fur and big black eyes. It was banging on the spell wall, trying to break free.

Krin blinked at the stir of the female and jumped when he was touched. "SHH-AIIIYA!" He turned around and sighed. "Damn you're freaky." He gently made her step back as he drew his attention back to the body, poking her a bit. "Hmm.....Meh....Meh....Meh...." He kept poking her, it relieving his panic attack for some reason.

His voice whispered, 'Wrong move Krin...you are in the light.'

He backed away and grabbed the woman who had recently scared him. "This doesn't feel right...either I'm hearing things....or seriously I may faint. Come on, we should leave this place..."

A large thud sounded behind them. The small demon fox creature had broken the spell. The room seemed to get colder, cold enough so they could see their breaths. The small demon looked up at them before running to Thana. It looked back at them, it's black eyes looking at them before turning and entering Thana's body. She absorbed the little demon. She stirred once more and this time her eyes flickered open once. Black energy shot out of the tattoo on her back and made the chains shatter easily. The energy vanished and instead of falling limply to the ground, Thana stayed on her knees. She wasn't fully awake but she was close.

Still, even as she was touched and pulled away, the odd creature didn't seem too concerned. He was actually making contact with her, so this was confusing but not altogether bad. The sight of the little demon did seem to stir something in her. She made an almost human shriek and retreated behind Krin, trembling. Fear was new. It was an unfamiliar yet familiar feeling, as if she felt deja vu while experiencing it. Even then, she wasn't too sure what that feeling of deja vu was. It just felt... odd on top of the fear itself.

Wide eyes were now peering out from behind the man, spewing that black ichor in spurts. It ran down her face and over her lips, dripping on her makeshift dress and the floor of the temple. Not only was fear something familiar, but the demon that had jumped into Thana, and now Thana herself, was familiar. Not on a personal level. Rather, what they were was familiar.

So the unnamed woman would clutch at his sleeve, which probably wasn't a good decision since her fingers extended into sharp points. Sorry, Krin, you might get scratched.

Krin gasped a little and turned his head to look at the frightened female. "Hey, you'll be fine, Kay? You're with a shadow demon here, a prince of them at that, relax." He had placed his hand over her hand that slightly cut into his arm, but it really didn't bother him. He looked back at Thana, now very...interested.

Thana opened her eyes, revealing her purple irises. She stood up, her bones popping as they resettled for they had been unused for so long. Her purplish blue hair fell, nearly touching the floor. She looked around, the look in her eyes cold. She spotted the other beings but didn't react. She walked to the center and picked up her katana.

Words were only things she could mimic and not understand. But something about the word 'demon' hit her, and she knew that he was similar to the little thing that bounced into Thana. She recoiled back with confusion of her understanding and put some space between them. Her eyes were locked on Thana now. OOOH A SHINY THING! She wanted it, but taking it would require getting close to the woman with the demon thingamajig in her.
