It's been years since Asteria's older sister, Theia, had ascended to the throne. The kingdom was as prosperous as it could be and she showed little signs of aging even after having two heirs. Asteria was no longer needed as princess in the castle so she left. Finally feeling free after spending her life being taught the ways of a court that had no use for her now. Not that she minded, she always hated the court. Though, having knowledge on it's inner workings certainly helps sometimes.
Magic is an elusive thing. Not everyone can harness it, and even then the ways they harness it are limited on dozens of factors. Theia was blessed with the ability to conjure spells without the aid of charms or spells. Asteria has the ability to pull magical energy but only through certain objects. Crystals, tomes, cards. She's bound to these objects to use her powers. Because of this she has an extensive knowledge on how they work. This comes especially in handy when a strange troupe of people storm through her shop door.
Can you tell I've gotten sucked into The Arcana game? I want to do a sort of... Well, not quiet a 'harem' style roleplay because whether or not the characters are attracted to Asteria will depend on which characters you have and use and you yourself. But I do want them all tied together by fate. Platonic or not!
The general story I currently have is in Forrin (The fantasy kingdom this will mainly take place in,) has several fiefs. All managed by Asteria and Theia's cousins and other relatives. One (or several) have become silently corrupt by some manner of dark magic. Our little team is brought together by a different form of magic to end it. They all end up meeting at the magic shop. Whether they meet Asteria there at different points or all at once is up to you but I would like having at least three characters in this team. Ideally four or more. But I do understand playing a lot of characters is stressful.
The team would at minimum need the level headed one who can think rationally, the impulsive (Asteria), and the nerve wracked self sacrificing one who knows more than they let on. We can most certainly have more if you'd like!

Magic may be accepted as truth but is not common. It might be harnessed only by specific beings. Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones.
Renaissance
Combat is expected as part of the storyline but it won't dominate the plot.
Details: Freeform, paragraphs required, long-term RP partner preferred.
Ooh wow this interests me a lot! And I think that the little family tree I have made with my Eldreanore characters would work great for this! What do you think? I was thinking of having Sera be a sort of multi personality if that makes sense, I'd have Carxanius be the nerve wracked self sacrificing one that knows more than he lets on, and I'd have Varxelius be the level headed one.

You're characters seem interesting! Is there any way we can sort of pull the ages around just to get them all in the same ballpark you know? Personally I dont like having the main team of characters being super different in age because it makes it a lot harder for them to bond as a group. I understand if not however!

Sure I can do that. I'll Carxanius be around 20, Varxelius will be at around 23 and Sera will be 25. Would that work for you?
