Four months earlier.
Revanna had taken refuge in a small flat downtown. She had just finished a mission when she was assigned to track down a demon suspected of being the (by that time well-known) serial killer that had been ravaging the city. As she dressed to cover up her silver hair and long ears, a newsflash popped up on the small television of her room to replace the program that was playing in the background.
"We are sorry for interrupting, we just got an unusual story coming in." the image switched to a firy dot, being filmed in Australia, slowly getting larger. "This medium sized meteor has been spotted entering our earth's atmosphere about ten minutes ago by an australian film crew on the road to a scene they were asked to record. By this time, several other news teams have joined them in filming the unexplained sudden meteor. Scientists are baffeled by the sudden appearance of the space rock, as no-one had ever seen it coming near our planet."
Revanna's mouth opened, and didn't close again. How was it possible for a meteor to get this close without being spotted? She sat down on her couch and watched the live footage developing She knew she was safely tucked away in her flat, far from Australia, but it was a very unusual sighting nonetheless, and she didn't want to miss any of it. a good ten minutes, the meteor exploded into several pieces that mostly fell into the sea, only two of them hitting australia's shores.
Two months after the first meteor.
Revanna was getting increasingly concerned on the meteor. More had fallen since then, about seven or eight, spread around the globe. Whenever she was home, she sat staring at the tv and browsing the web, looking for theories and any developments. So far, each of the meteors had unexpectantly appeared on the radar just before they entered atmosphere.
She suddenly noticed another clip on the homepage of youtube.com: "scientists discover similarities regarding meteors" and clicked it. the window popped up to view the images of each of the meteors.
"Yesterday at 9PM local time, the international group of scientists assigned to investigating the meteors that have been hitting earth over the past two months have discovered an unsettling fact: all of the meteors have exploded on exactly the same height - 2000 meters above sea-level. They will now start investigating each meteor seperately at their respective locations, from which they as of yet haven't been moved."
The video finished, and Revanna sat back in her chair. This was indeed, very unsettling.
Present day
Revanna couldn't believe how fast everything suddenly had gone. A few days ago, everything had been peaceful. Now, it was pure and utter chaos. The meteors had burst open, and craetures had come out. Humanoid, but unkown. Their skins were a dark red, and they stood slightly taller than mankind. Their faces were deformed. They wore armor no human had ever heard of, and wielded weaponry none had ever seen on earth. unexpectedly, they started shooting. All across the world, at the exact same time. From one hour unto the next, the world had changed into a battlefield of massive scale, where everyone was fightng for their own survival. Meanwhile, the unkown species now dubbed Ignotum (latin for the unkown) had started building war machines at incredible speed. battleships filled the air and ground vehicles brought death and destruction.
She was running through the street, her robes flying alongside her slender form. She heard the rough and untoned speach of the Ignotum behind her and quickly whirled around. In the motion, her hood slid off her haid, revealing a head full of long silvery hair and ears longer than any human. She didn't care anymore - she couldn't see any around anyway, and the Ignotum where the primary concern here. She jumped back into a crouching position and spread her arms wide. Witnessing a tank-like machine closing in on her, she spoke quickly. "Substantiam mundi succurre!" Two large chunks of rock emerged from the ground alongside the tank and smashed into it, wrecking it on the first blow.
"Succurre mihi gladium lucem!" A golden aura danced along her arm and eventually materialized into sword. It was about the same length as her extended arm, silver with golden linings. She surged forward and killed the two Ignotum targeting her, once again clearing the streat. "depellendam." The sword disappeared. She walked to a building and just stood next to it as she gasped for breath. Gabriel himself had tasked her to find survivors, and that was what exactly what she would do. She pushed away from the wall and started running again, looking left and right to see if there were any survivors left.

Kono, at least that is what those weird red creatures gave him the name, was walking down the same street. Looking for people to take to the mother ship. He was tasked by his creators to go and search for more people to make them different. He didn't remember what happened to him in the past, all he knew was that he was now a half plant creature looking for survivors and that he was also order anyone who would resist him.
Wren checked the clip loaded into her pistol. It was full. Good. She had been on leave when the attacks had started, and she hadn't heard from her comrades back at the airbase. Either the aliens had knocked out all communications to and from the facility, or they had simply destroyed it themselves. It made sense, she thought grimly, surprise was on their side and they would have to act swiftly before the world's armies rallied and managed to put forward an organised defence.
So far she had had little contact with any military personnel, but those she had spoken to seemed shell-shocked and confused. Contradictory orders where flying around and the command structure was starting to unravel; already she'd heard rumours that the aliens had hit the Ministry of Defence, and her American friends had said something about an attack on the Pentagon...
She'd taken refuge at the fist floor of an abandoned building, hiding from the Ignotum. She needed a plan of action. She hoped to find a military unit that hadn't been hit yet, and hopefully a direct line to whatever remained of her superiors. Hell, maybe they even had airfields still operational and a plane free. She hated fighting on the ground... sure she had combat training, but she belonged in the skies... give her a good jet and she'd show these Ignotum what a Human pilot can do!
Suddenly she heard shouting and the guttural cries of some Ignotum, as well as some very loud crashing sounds and the scream of tortured metal. Wren ducked down and approached he windows cautiously, she peered out onto the street and saw the crumpled corpses of two Ignotum and the crushed wreckage of one of their tanks, apparently smashed by large boulders, though how on Earth someone had managed that was beyond her... unless thins were so desperate people were resorting to catapults now.
Looking down, she saw someone running away from the carnage, te former pilot weighed up the possible dangers of contacting a complete stranger in this chaotic mess, but the prospect of meeting another survivor, even a civilian, was heart-warming at this point, so she called out, "Hey! You there! Up here! Get out of sight before more of those things turns up!"
(For the purposes of the RP, I'm making Wren a pilot in the Royal Air Force, I don't know what country this is set in, but we can assume that she's been posted at one of the overseas bases, or she was on holiday or something]

Isabelle ran around the streets with a small gun in her hand, trying to get away from the Ignotum attacking people suddenly. She remembered how all of this way different about a week ago. Meteors falling and hitting Earth but she never expected something like this.
Her long unordinary pink hair flew around behind her as she kept running. She had her brown coat on which the sides of it was also flying around behind her as she ran. She ran over to a small market and pressed her back against the wall of the market, hiding. She tried to slow her breathing as her eyes darted around for somewhere safer to hide for now since she was out of bullets and she needed time to restore her gun.

Kono was keeping an eye out until his ears heard a voice calling from a building not to far away from his position. He was about to go towards the sound when he heard a faint breathing sound coming in his direction as well. A sly grin came upon his face, "Must be my lucky day." Part of him wanted to go check out what that voice was but the sound of someone painting heavily made him wanna find out what that was all about too. He went over towards the sound, the trees and plants on this planet guided him towards Isabelle. He raised both of his hands up in the air, the seeds in his hands were red just like the color of the creatures on this planet.
When he got close enough, he paused to see a small market before him. His grin never fading as he called out, "I know you are out there! Your plants never lie to me! Now come out with your hands up and I won't hurt you.." He stood there with the smirk across his face, whispering, "Much." He was ready for anything that came at him. He wasn't red like the other creatures but orange like color.

Revanna's ears picked up Wren's calls easily. Her head turned to face her as she understood what she had said. she nodded, and ran for the building Wren was in. Walking through the blown-in doors, she observed her surroundings. The structure was still pretty much intact, she wouldn't have to reinforce it, at least not too much. she ran through the mess to the stairs and up them, reaching the first floor rather easily. She stepped over a few chunks of cement fallen from a collapsed ceiling above her, and reached Wren shortly after. "Glad to see I'm not the only one left here." she said. Her voice sounded tired, but still extraordinarily clean. Her silvery hair fell down her shoulders - she didn't even bother covering her hair and ears anymore.
Wren smiled, although her eyes had a slight wariness to them, and her hand never strayed far from her pistol, "I'm Wren, pilot in the British Royal Air Force." Wren noted te silvery hair, then her strange ears and the wariness in her eyes increased, "And who... and what... are you, exactly?" Her voice took on a hard edge, "If you're some other alien in league with those red-skinned creatures out there..." The threat in her tone was unmistakable.
Revanna shook her head hastily. "No, I am not, though I can understand why you are concerned." she replied. Just look out the window to those dead Ignotum and the destroyed tank, and you'll have your proof. If it's not enough, you'll just have to trust me, for now."
Wren looked startled, rising a quick glance out the window again as she caught the strange girl's meaning, "You did that!?" Wren looked incredulous, "How on earth did you..." She paused for a moment, and then peered at the silver-haired girl intently, "So... silver hair...weird ears... apparently some ability to do with tossing rocks about..." Wren hook her head, "Well, if you're against those things then you're fine by me, I suppose." Though the wariness seemed to recede from her eyes a bit, her hand still hadn't strayed from her pistol, "What are you out here alone anyway? It's dangerous, obviously, even if you can defend yourself with your... rock..." She searched for a word, "Thing" She finished lamely.
Revanna smiled, despite the desperate situation. "Yeah, my rock 'thing' definately is pretty useful." she replied. She was glad Wren just accepted it without too many questions. "I'm out here looking for survivors. And I know that it's dangerous, but as long as I face anything like those down there or less powerful, I'll definately be fine. It's gonna get worse though."
At that point, Wren's ears picked up the sound of Kono talking to someone, threatening him or her. "Something's happening at the market, let's go." Lucky for the two, the market was just on the other side of the building, so they just had to get through some rubble-filled hallways in order to get into position. Revanna quickly noticed Isabelle taking cover, and Kono standing on the other side of her cover. "Let's see what's going on here." she whispered.

Isabelle heard the man call out to her. She was pretty sure he was talking to her since no one else was around this area. She sighed and raised her arms up. She would just go out and then this man will see that she is just a human and he will let her go. She stepped forwards, exposing herself to the sunlight from a shadow.
"I'm just--" She started off saying but then saw the mans strange skin colour and her eyes widened.

The pilot hesitated for a moment and then nodded, following Revanna through the rubble-strewn, partially-collapsed hallways of the building. She crouched down out of sight next to Revanna, drawing her pistol and holding it at the ready, Wren took a quick look at the scene, before crouching back into cover again, "That.. orange thing seems to have pinned down that girl. It doesn't look too friendly either." She frowned to herself, "We can't leave that girl to get captured, or killed." Wren grimaced, "Damn it... I hated the street-fighting course back in basic." The fact that she'd found herself naturally suited to the small, lightweight pistols and other handguns than the larger, bulkier rifles, or other weapons, din't seem to have a bearing on it. Then gain, she'd always preferred the freedom of the skies than being stuck down here on the ground.
Kono grinned towards the woman as he suddenly screamed out in pain to unleash two blades that came straight from his arms, "Now lets make it easy on both of us. You come with me and I won't hurt you. Make it hard on yourself..well that would be more fun for me." He started to walk towards her, since he was so busy on Isabelle, he didn't notice the other two women looking at him. The blades in his arms, looked like green.
She saw the strange man starting to walk towards her. "S-Stay away from me!" She stuttered as she let her arms fall loose to her sides and took a step back. She was still holding her gun but it was no use to her since there was no bullets. She saw the two women in a distance but her eyes immediatly went back to the man, not wanting to make the man notice the women. She stared at his blades from his arms as she stepped back with every step he took towards her.
Revanna looked at Wren. "I can't let this continue." she said. She quickly vaulted over the wall that had formerly held a window, landing right behind Isabelle. she walked forward to face Kono, and lifted her hands. "Potestas terræ: et nolite bellum inutile" The gravity around Kono would shift and intensify, pulling the man down on his knees and keeping him there, unable to move.
Revanna looked at him. "Who are you and what is your purpose?"
Revanna looked at him. "Who are you and what is your purpose?"
Wren cursed softly under her breath as Revanna jumped from the window, "Reckless." She hissed to herself, going to the hole in the wall and clambering down to the ground quickly, finding plenty of hand- and footholds in the scarred and battered concrete. As soon as she touched the ground she had her pistol out again, keeping it trained in the orange... man? Alien? She approached slowly, she glanced quickly to Isabelle and asked, "You hurt?" Her voice was terse and hard, but then the situation wasn't exactly suited to cordial greetings and polite introductions.
Kono was about to do something to Revanna but her moves were spell was too quick for him. He fell to the ground as he felt the gravity around him get heavier. He glanced upward at her and grinned like a cheshire cat, "Wouldn't you like to know?" He laughed a little bit. His eyes caught another female entering and checking up on Isabelle, "Wow..must be my lucky day. I get three girls now." He look back over to Revanna and slowly began to stand up even with the heavy gravity on him. His movements were slow but he finally was standing up, with his knees bent a little bit, in the gravity spell she cast. He does a summer salt backwards away from the area and stands up. "You know I hate being pinned down" Now finally out of the spell area, he grins over to Revanna, "But by you..I don't mind as much." Giving her a slight wink. He charged straight for her, pushing off of his left foot. Dodging around the spell she cast and moved his right arm, which had a blade all ready out on his forearm, to cut her either arm or chest area.
Revanna jumped back, using her momentum to quickly utter a spell. "Succurre mihi gladium lucem" Once again, the blade appeared in her hand and she quickly turned it to block Kono's blades, jumping backward straight after that. "I reccomend you to stand down, or I'll have to use wors than a gravity spell." she replied calmly. She didn't know what kind of man this was, and she didn't like killing. But she would, if it'll help earth's cause. This one right here, clearly was no earth-lover.
Wren's eyes had widened when the creature had somersaulted out of the gravity's spells boundaries. Considering how strong the gravity in the area had been, the creature must be very strong... well, she'd faced off against some pretty tough, heavily-muscled men in her time, even a US marine who'd had a drink too many and got a bit friendlier than she liked. Of course they'd never had blades coming ou of their arms... but she didn't plan on going toe-to-toe with it.
The thing had closed with Revanna too quickly for her to get a shot in, and now it was too close for her to risk it; she might end up shooting Revanna by accident, "Damn it." She snapped, without taking her eyes from the creature she moved herself in front of Isabelle, saying, "Get behind cover, try and get away whilst we distract it." She'd kept her voice as quiet as she could whilst still allowing Isabelle to hear her.

Isabelle watched as the two women stepped forward. She felt a little safer now and stood up tall again.
"I'm fine." She said to the woman that asked her.
