I was wondering if anyone would be interesting in doing an urban fantasy game set in 1930s London?
Magic is rare, but not unheard of. Mundane characters may or may not believe in it. Magical characters may form small and exclusive pockets for study, protection, etc.
Modern
Unrest may be part of the setting, but any scenes that happen to involve combat may be summarized.
Details: Freeform, adjustable length posts, long-term RP partner preferred.
i will, if a demon like myself would fit into this scenario

...Sure... I got a couple of characters. If you want, I can elaborate on some.
Which ones?
Well...let's see here... I got...
Auren Corvelon Aldori: He's not much of a mage, more like a duelist (think person with a rapier, a swashbuckler from the Three Musketeers) However, he could fit the theme of magical experimentation. What I think of in the 1930s is industrialization. Industrialization means taking any opportunity available. Add magic, and that leads to experiments, right? Well, Auren is an experiment. Admittedly, it was a vetala that made him, but it could work...
Varen Dominal: This guy is the mageish guy. Well, more like a bard with rougish qualities, and a healthy degree of wizardry, but you get the point. He's a shadowmancer: he can communicate with shadows, etc.... see his profile for more.
I ran out of time...I'll see you (hear from you..?) later!

I’ve got a character concept laying around that’ll fit in just fine. When get home tomorrow, I’ll introduce them.
Oh and by the way, will we be doing a group RP or 1 to 1?

I was thinking of a group RP in a Chronicles of darkness/new world of darkness like setting.
Oh that’s cool!
Hmm... alas, I think the only one of my mages who could fit into this time period is Jones and NOBODY wants to have to work with that guy lol.
I'd be keen as for this. I'm feeling maybe a Van Helsing style monster hunter who questions whether using magic to subdue his quarry makes him any better than the creatures he fights.
Ok as I seem to have at least some interest I was wondering if people would prefer to do this in a group or just a forum.
I would prefer a group as I could have the historical notes on the era; London in the 1930s was a different place.

I, too, prefer a group. It’s more organised and it would be easier to add other people in the future.
Yeah. Just one question:
Are there gonna be different forums for different places? I hate those. They shift too much for my liking. Also, a post order please. I know, I know, I'm sounding like a robot with set times, but to be honest, I'm not on every day (This weekend-and every weekend- for example. Including next Monday.) and when I return, I find out that so much has gone on that I don't know where to begin. And it gets worse every minute...

Alright, so I'm going to use this character here. (This is Garnaal talking)
By the way, will our RP take place in 'London, but with mages hidden among the common rabble' or more like an alternate history kind of London? Just wondering.
