Exactly 10 a.m. With a slouch, I carried myself to the store, as usual. It was Monday. A cold winter Monday at that.
The front of the shop was, as always, bright and cheerful, reminding of the Christmas season. Not only did we have food, we also had toys. And boy. Do they market the shit out of those.
My flushed face peeked through the door. Cheeks and nose tinted red from the cold, the rest of my face covered by the collar of my shirt.
I flashed a crooked smile at the other employees, a bored redhead chewing on a piece of gum, and a blond meticulously scanning the shelves for any stray products.
"Hey Jay" the redhead greeted, the blond only giving me a dismissive nod. It was warm in here, a stark contrast to the snow-ridden streets outside.
I took off my jacket, revealing a baggy turtle-neck pullover underneath. Hanging that old, tattered piece of cloth on a rag, I leaned against the cash register, smiling at Rachelle. "Hey, what's up? No customers?"
"Nah, not really. Way too much snow. If you'd go out, you'd be insane" she teased. "True" I shrugged, assuming my usual position behind the register, so she could go and help Ivan.
Blue eyes wandered outside the window, while I perched my hand up on the table.
Shit was off today. It might have been the way the snowflakes fall or the way the street lamps shine. The grey clouds, the overcast sky.
This was gonna be interesting.

Hi. I want to use this character I have for an rp. The basic plot is that your character meets mine, and then, they somehow stumble upon magic.
Jay is gonna be kind of a side character to yours, who will be the main focus of the rp, since your character is gonna have the magic powers. Since this is a modern day setting, they kinda have to hide the fact that your character now has powers.
I do wanna make up the laws of how the magic works myself, but you can, of course, choose the powers your character is gonna have.

I don't mind what gender your character is, or how old they are, or their personality, as long as they are pretty steady, developed characters.
