With her head bent all the way back, Scarlett stared up at the building and wander why mankind would want to block out such a beautiful view of the sky. From heaven, you didn't even have to look up to see it. You lived in them. So, why would humans block out the most beautiful thing makes her flabagastered. She had been exiled to Earth for three monthes now, but questions still rang in her mind. She was supposed to be at the warehouse forty-five minutes ago. Before dark. But she found herself caught in the ways of the humans. She shouldn't be so bold to call them humans now, because as of March 23rd she became one too. Forcing herself to head on to her shelter, she couldn't help but feel someone watching her. Of course she's heard horror stories of what happens to Human Angels when they get sent down to Earth, but then again...she never thought she'd be one.
Alexander watched Scarlett from the top of a building across the street. He has been watching her since she arrived. She looks like an angel. Alex wondered if she was a pure-blood, or a Half-Blood like him. He watched as she wandered off, no doubt looking for a place to stay, so he decided to be her "Guardian Angel". Laughing to himself he followed her down the road.
Scarlett could definitely sense a pair of eyes on her. They felt like two hot coals pressed against the skin of her back. She tried to peer through the darkness as best as she could, down alleyways or in open doorways, but found nothing. Maybe she's just being paranoid, but paranoid is better than bein unprepared.
The door to the empty warehouse was locked, but she knew a better way to get in. Of course without her wings, she couldn't fly up there. In heaven, she was known as a pure blood, but now she's just a human angel. Nothing more, nothing less. Climbing the nearby ladder, she made her way up to a window ledge. She pried it further open and crept inside. The building was helplessly cold, but Scarlett had hidden blankets here a couple days ago. She laid down in a corner, prepared to get some rest. But something told her to keep her eyes open. Be alert.

Isobel was asleep in the rafters when Scarlett entered the building. She heard her climb up to the window ledge she had come in on. For a moment Isobel considered going back to sleep but decided against it. "Sorry, I wouldn't have come here if I knew someone else already lived here." She said quietly.
Scarlett smiled kindly. She never is mean to anyone, except for the occasional males and a few others.
"That's fine. It's good to have company." She told Isobel and it was. She truly long for some company for the past month or so. At least some of her prays still get answered.
Scarlett walked over to a cot and sat down , crossing her legs. She fished under it, looking for the food she had stashed. She felt the wrapper and took a couple of crackers from it, then offered some to her, "Here, take some."

Isobel jumped from the rafters and used her wings a little to reach the ledge. She landed on it and folded them behind her. "Thank you." She couldn't really see what Scarlett was handing her, since she was blind, but tentatively held out her hand in the direction her voice had been coming from.
"Crackers always help my stomach settle." Scarlett told her, now realizing that she was blind. Did the girl need help? Has god sent someone to Scarlett to give her another chance to help a life as a human angel? The girl sitting before her now become one of her main priorities.
Isobel nibbled at her cracker and relaxed a bit. Her other hand was on her thigh, next to the dagger strapped to her belt. "So, why're you helping me?"
Scarlet thought go to be honest with the girl and smiled, "Im a human angel. I hope to gain my wings back if I help others on earth." She left put the fact that she was undenyingly lonely and wanted company in fear that she'd appear weak. Scarlett laid down and nestled her head on her arms, "There's more than enough blankets around here. Take what you like."
Isobel nodded. She still wasn't sure, but Scarlett seemed nice enough. "I won't need the blankets though. I usually sleep up somewhere high, with my wings wrapped around me." Human angel... Could that be what I am? Isobel wondered about this, but didn't have any way of knowing so she let it go. "I know what it's like to have wings. It's terrible to have them taken away from you. I'll help if I can."
Alex had been watching them for quite a while now. He wondered if they were going to sleep for the night when a strange figure emerged from an alleyway down the road. Mhm, what is he doing out so late? he wondered. Just as he was about to jump down and investigate, the figure brought out a steel crossbow and fired it at alarming speed. Alex managed to jump out of it's direct path, but got hit in the wing in the process. He spiraled towards the ground at an alarming speed. Just before he lost consciousness, he saw the figure slip in-between the buildings again.
Isobel tensed when she heard the sound of something hitting the ground outside. "I'm going to check it out." She said quietly and grabbed a dagger from her waist. She would've rather used her staff, but it wasn't a good weapon to use in small areas like in this town. She silently took off out the window. If anyone had looked up they would have a hard time seeing her as the black of her hair and wings blended with the night. She landed close to Alexander and held her dagger ready incase he turned out to be dangerous.
Alex's left wing was soaked with blood, staining the white feathers red. Half of the arrow from the crossbow was lodged in his wing, the other half was a few feet away from where he lay. A pool of blood was gathering around his body as he grunted. Lights all over the street were turning on, suspicious on what was happening.
Isobel heard him grunt and knelt down next to him. She could feel the blood soaking through her jeans onto her knees. "Make a move I don't like and I'll plunge this dagger straight into your heart." She warned as she came closer and felt his wings. She was a little surprised at them, but stayed focused. She didn't want to just leave him out here on the street to be attacked again. "I'll have to take you back."
Scarlett shouldn't have let Isobel go out alone. She scampered to her feet and hurried out the door to see Isobel helping someone.
"Is everything alright? Who is this?" She peered through the dark to see that the figure was injured,"Oh! Let me help!" Scarlett hurried over to them and wrapped her arm around the injured males side.

"No idea. We'll have to ask him, but right now we have to get him back to the building. He was attacked by something and it could be back." Isobel sheathed her dagger, but stayed alert. She helped Scarlett carry him on his other side back to through the door.
"Lets set him on that cot." Scarlett suggested and laid him down on one side. She left Isobel for a moment to doctor him up and hurried over to the door, "I'll be right back." She went out the door and looked around, peering through the darkness. She saw no sign of anything but a dark, evil feeling lung in the air. She shivered, then turned back inside to help Isobel with the injured. She securely locked the warehouse door behind her, then moved one of the boxes beside it and shoved it in front of the door. "Alright, we need to stop the bleeding."
Isobel nodded. She pulled out a roll of bandage cloth from her pocket. "I grabbed this when I made the bandages over my eyes. Who knew it would come in handy again so soon. We'll have to take that arrow out too." She walked closer to Alexander and felt his wing gently. "I can pull it out, but it'll hurt." She warned him.
Alex awoke to a searing pain in his wing. He snapped open his eyes, and his hand immediatly went to his sword scabbard. "Where did he go?" he mumbled just over a whisper as he took in his surroundings.
Isobel laid down the bloody arrow. "He's gone. You'll be safe here." She unrolled the bandage a little and started wrapping it around his wing. "You won't be able to fly for a while, but it doesn't seem like it hit anything important."
