So what fears does your character have? Do they fear the dark? maybe spiders?
Tell, my main, has a huge fear of ghosts, if he even so much thinks theres a ghost, then he would freeze up and not be able to do anything. Not even talk.

Hmm...well, I made my main character, Sydni Kurosaki, based on me. She has the same details and things about my life...including my own fears. >.< I also usually make other characters have the same phobias as me...because..I think it would be weird roleplaying as a character with a phobia and that phobia doesn't even scare you/make you feel the same way as the character does. So basically what I'm saying is, It feels awkward roleplaying as a character with a phobia you don't even have BUT I think if you roleplay as a character WITH the same phobia(s) as you it makes a lot more sense because you know what it feels like to have that phobia and you know what your reaction would be to that phobia since you share the same phobia with your character.
Sydni Kurosaki has a servere phobia of the Dentist! (Dentophobia) Just like I do! V_V So..If or whenever my character gets stuck in a situation involving the dentist, I know how she feels. ^^

Safiye is terrified people will find out what she's up to. She's also afraid it will all go wrong.
Aria is sometimes afraid of her mother. Other times, she's afraid for her mother. Not to mention the usual assortment of childhood fears.
Snail is afraid of birds, lizards and salt.
Aethaerraent "fears" bright lights, but mostly just haaaaates them.

Potential Character Spoilers Ahoooy!
Typhus fears and loathes magic. He's seen the power it's capable of, and to some extent it terrifies him that something more powerful than his military might could topple him. He just rests easy that such entities don't seem to be active or alive.
Johann fears for his safety, though he does so terribly quietly (and is more prone to reacting in anger instead of fear when it shows) He's currently in constant danger of his semi-stable life falling in around his head when all he wants is just to live and be left alone. It's complicated and spoilery. He also fears perpendicular lines, but that's a whole other matter.
Lady Forest fears ZHE UNDEAD, though I've never been sure why. I have a funny feeling that it's because I feared the undead as a child, so as my self-insert, she got it too.
Wilhelm's arachnaphobia is for the same reasons as Lauren Forest's. Former-self-insertism. I am horrendously arachnaphobic, to the extent that even visuals of spiders--realistic or cartoony--freak me out pretty badly.
Quickfoot is terrified of heights! He's actually supposed to be my favorite Egg Thief in the original three Spyro games-- the lil' guy at Wizard's Peak who stands on the ledge of a platform you have to supercharge to reach. Since Quickfoot is supposed to be a fan-character of that particular thief, I figured a fear of heights from getting knocked off the ledge by Spyro would be perfect.
Draconus fears... a lot of stuff. Poor guy's got some issues. Most striking though are his astra/brontophobia and his fear of a whip being cracked. The astraphobia simply stems from a childhood fear of lightening he never shook off (and people took advantage of later in his life), and the whip crack is from knowing nothing but a good flogging for extensive periods of time.

Dagger fears ...
Water in all amounts, and will probably start to scream and curse if she comes in contact with it.

You know what you get for bein' a hero? Nothin'. You get hurt. A lot. Cut up. Set on fire. Poisoned. Frozen. Electrocuted. Maybe a nice jet of acid to the face. You step on traps you can't see. Fall down pits that weren't there. You get to be addicted to little red bottles. Pat on the back, maybe. "Hey, thanks, here's a magic sword that's worse than the one you already have." Can't trust anyone. Get your loot stolen. Clients try to murder you just so they won't have to pay. You get to eat your dinner cold, on the road, in the rain, alone.
Trust me, you don't want to be the hero. I do it 'cause there's nobody else to do it right now. If there was, believe me, I'd let them do it, but there's not. So I'm doin' it.
But y'now, it's not the pain I fear. It's not dyin'. It's not bein' alone.
It's not bein' able to keep doin' it.

Most of my characters have some sort of fear.
Both Eclipseon and Spectreeon fear being placed under the power of humans again.
Glaceia fears fire.
Rashinnu....well her worst fear already happened which is that she will never get to be a mom.
Sorea's would probably be losing her freedom.
Valeana's would be having men ruling over her life again.
Then there is Kariah and Ravona.
Ravona doesn't have a fear because her species is emotionally restrained and consider thinking what their greatest fear is as a waste of time. They also consider fear itself to be a pointless emotion on top of that.
Kariah, she doesn't really have a fear, but more of a sorrow. She doesn't think that a goddesses such as herself has any right to interact with *mortal kind and this makes her feel rather sad, not to mention lonely. *This also includes stuff like vampires and the likes since they will almost certainly be killed within what would be a blink of the eye for her.

Dante: Super Dante to the Rescue! Every tough Vampire sometimes wants to crawl into their safe little hole because something bigger and badder is out there. Dante is terrified of commitment. Due to the fact that every 'Relationship' whether it being romance/non-romance, has gone horribly wrong, ending in either him getting shot, stabbed etc or even the other person dying. He also has a grand fear of women, due to the fact that most/all of them has wronged him in some way or another. So relationships aren't that great when it comes to Dante.
Asphyxiate: Asphyxiate has a fear of darkness, which is ironic due to the fact that he himself was created from the darkness of the human kind. And can't go out in sunlight himself. He has a favorite nightlight just incase the icky monsters try to get him :c
Kyrian: Kyrian, oh sweet Kyrian. He has a fear that he'll never be good enough. A fear that he hides very well within the back of his mind by preoccupying himself with many household chores and other things such as gardening and somebday becoming a grand cook
Moon: Moon, ever since his family was slaughtered, has a fear of letting everybody that he lets into his life, down and losing them to the nasty grasps of death, and once again being thrown into the great abyss that is called lonliness.

Azaroth: Azaroth is afraid of anything having to do with laboratories/Doctors/etc. He's extremely phobic of needles; especially the size for the adrenaline needles used on a crash cart. He's utterly terrified of anesthesia-purposed machines; since he nearly died on the operating table when he was a child.
Tathnar: This one is afraid of Drow Priestesses, simple as that. He's also extremely gun-shy.
Dirz'Baste Zau'Urden: She is afraid of ending up on a sacrificial alter to Lolth for not doing her duty as one of her priestesses. Dirz is rather terrified of Nagas since she once got lost and they nearly ate her. ^.^;

Sarah suffers from claustrophobia, though in a manner of if she is ever in a dark, enclosed space, it triggers a panic attack. They can get so bad sometimes that she'll break down completely and not sleep for days as a result. She also fears commitment (or falling in love) because of witnessing heartbreak nearly ruin someone she cared deeply for and then having her own feelings crushed by a romantic interest. She's kind of a stubborn, prideful coward really, to sum it all up.
Ominous; while being a spawn of discord and shadow embodiment, has a severe fear of sunlight and losing her freedom. She has been enslaved before and loathed every second of being unable to control her situation. Though she would never admit her fears openly, when faced with them, she resorts to violence.

Interesting topic. Here's some of the fears of my most used characters.
Bender Of Iron Will will act tough, but he's got plenty of fears. One of these fears is imprisonment. He fears being stuck in a cage with no way of getting out more than anything. Another fear is a rather simple one; death. He's a stubborn guy, that Bender, but with the fact he's growing old comes the realization he isn't going to live forever. It makes him think about all he's done in his life so far, and makes him fear he hasn't done enough in his lived correctly, or to the fullest.
Dennis fears loneliness. He fears his actions will eventually cause him to be banished from his Brotherhood, which he sees as his family, doomed to wander the wastes alone without any chance of seeing his childhood friends anymore. This means he also has got a fear of losing his loved ones, a not so uncommon occurrence in the wasteland.
Shannon on the other hand has a very specific fear, and not so much a crippling one. She fears extreme weather, due to Team Magma and Aqua resurrecting both Groudon and Kyogre at the same time, causing chaos in the weather. Being from Sootopolis, she was right in the middle of it. Harsh thunderstorms or extreme sunlight remind her of that day.
Sylass fears weakness more than anything. He compulsively trains his body in order to remain strong just so his clan would accept him. He has a need of acceptance, and he doesn't feel worthy of it unless he's the best he can possibly be.

I have a lot of characters, so here goes, haha!
Alex Hunter: She fears physical restraint a great deal, especially when restrained by another living being. Organizations such as mafias are also a frightening concept to her, but she's never encountered one. She's known a few people who have, and have lost a couple of buddies who got in over their heads, but she herself has never had any issues with them. Probably because she fears them so much. She's also a little claustrophobic if she's stuck somewhere small. Only when it's storming though. It makes her feel too vulnerable.
Fyaara: God, I haven't played her in a while. Her fears aren't too extreme. She fears many bugs, receiving hate, making bad decisions that could effect the quality of life for people other than herself. Since she was, at one point, a ruler along with three others, she was looked up to. She never wanted to fail her people, she loved them too much. Loneliness is a big fear of hers as well.
Itha: Itha. Fears. Everything. EVERYTHING! Cats, loud noises, everything!
Gunellie: Gun fears death a great degree, something she encounters on a regular basis. Lately, though, after the death of her lover, despite being greatly afraid of death, she is alright with it as long as it comes from the hand of another. She wants to die, but wants to die fairly. Suicide isn't something she's interested in. Another fear is being caught in the middle of one of her hits, and her boss himself. Terrifying man.
Luna Song: She's too stubborn to admit to any fears, although death is definitely one. Weakness is another, and fire is a major one. Despite her ability to summon it, if she encounters it elsewhere, she will avoid it to no end (so maybe she's not rightly terrified of it, but it does make her uncomfortable and on edge). Fireplaces aren't things she sits close to, campfires, too. She'll even jump if it crackles too loud! Another fear of hers is not having a meaning to her life. She wants purpose, but has yet to truly find it, and it scares her tremendously.
Nameless: This one doesn't know what fear is. The closest thing to fear she feels is when she encounters something demonic despite being something similar to that. She doesn't know why, but the fear is very potent.
Steve Ruggles: Steve fears a few things. She is afraid of being force fed something she'd really rather not eat (paranoia that it's poisoned or it'll make her sick begins to grow and grow until she's incredibly panicked). She's also afraid of awful storms, high winds, is more paranoid than afraid of magic but fear can surface, and ants (primarily fire ants).
Aeani: This is a character I don't get to play too much. She doesn't fear a lot. Falling from high places, since she's subject to that sort of thing, any type of feline whether anthro or feral, and glasses of water. She'd been stuck in a glass of alcohol before and wound up drowning in it, but everything turned out alright enough. She didn't croak.
Evelyn: Unlike Luna, fire is something she is terribly phobic of. She has a hard time lighting torches or campfires and often burns herself in the process just because she's too scared to think straight. She's afraid of an entity she encountered who planted "seeds" all around her homeland that corrupted life and living things into something monstrous. Not evil, but monstrous. Anything outwardly unnatural (noises in her head that shouldn't be there, for example), persecution, and a few other things.
Gawd. Sorry that was so long.

Since I have a millionty characters, I'll just do my favourite.
Nis - claustrophobic. She's terribly afraid of small spaces and has in the past tried to fight off undead wolves to avoid going into saves. She's also afraid of letting people get close to her, because when they do they get hurt.

Nyx is afraid of bright light. Normally in the night his lifestyle is more acceptable, but in the daylight all of his flaws are exposed for the normal civilized people of the world to behold. It makes him feel exposed.
Also, for some weird reason he HATES vacuum cleaners.

Hm, that's a good question. Most of my characters have these small fears that do not affect them much outside the situation that directly throws them in contact with fear object.
One of the most prominent fears any of my characters have is Leila's fear of blood, or rather direct contact with it. She despises even seeing more of it, as strange as it is for someone of her profession. She also has certain fear of losing control of situation and having to reveal her true identity before its time. These do dictate her life and actions, quite noticeably.
Elek fears a meaningless death, before he manages to accomplish anything. Losing last means of sight also scares him, in this case it would mean he is stripped of any powers and although he tries to prepare for that, the truth is, even this deformed seeing trough eyes of others means too much for him.
Meanwhile, Issa does not comprehend meaning of 'fears' and has never been afraid, but if there is something to make her feel slightly uneasy then it's direct contact with such things as emotions, foreign things... They are just as fascinating to her, however. With time, she will learn what is being afraid, but for now, when asked about fears, the girl will simply cite chemical reactions that cause such feeling.
Ryan is afraid of dying unloved and not loving, never achieving those little, simple plans he has... Not that he would ever, ever admit it just like that. That just sounds far too girly. And makes him vulnerable.
Well... I will add more sometime, currently too sleepy. xD

Telelia- her family the most. She doesn't want to become them. At all. Especially her Father
Bird of Prey- loneliness, disapproval, being replaced. She's an extremely jealous creature who has vain tendencies. (currently, she's an almost blank slate so this will probably change)
Ibel- shadows. He's running from people who manipulate shadows and can become them so he's expecting to get his face chomped off from somebody popping out of the corner of the room. He doesn't sleep at night due to this
Muahattie Muchealo- afraid of being taken advantage of
Ystlumnesta- Soul eaters/ world eaters/ nightmares/ dream eaters. Any one of those would work.

This one is simple enough, my char has a fear of fire, It burns, its painful, and it can destroy things....it's a decent enough reasonable fear.
Enya: afrad of her father

Boos: Losing Liz and getting turned into a Spindral "Egg host" which is as "NOPE!" as it sounds like.
