Once apon a time.......
A lovely user posted a forum proposing a lovely clichè highschool rp. After finding enough players, they created the private chat.
Ah ah ah! Before I continue with my story, you must learn the 5 types of group roleplayers.
1. The dominant
This person is usually played by the host of the RP. They control everything, they are the one that everyone loves and respects. They love playing god.
2. The obsessive romantic.
This person is usually played by a female, they try multiple times to seduce the host's character. They feel as if their character must date the host's.
3. The NPC
This person can be played by anyone, even the host. They try to progress the story, but they're always discarded. No matter how hard they try, everyone else ignores them and throws their ideas away.
And if you're an NPC in one rp, then there's a good chance of it happening again....
4. The attention seeker
This person is commonly confused with the NPC. This person will always try to be loved by everyone else and won't try to contribute to the story at all.
An NPC does the opposite.
5.The actually fair Role Player
I don't need to explain this one, they literally play as supposed too. Ugh, so basic.
Anyways, back to my story.
So the group chatted a little OOC, when The attention seeker tried to god-mod some uncanon things into the rp. The host confronted them an The attention seeker acted pitiful until the host caved in and allowed it.
The NPC shared a good idea, but it was never used cuz they are an NPC.
Okay i'm too lazy to finish this, can you do it?

This is so true
This is probably the most accurate thing I’ve seen all day
It's really bad when the attention seeker turns out to be the host. Had that happen and it went about as well as you would expect.
You know what I hate? Being the NPC, it happens almost every time and it upsets me.
First of all, I put all my effort and energy into that post and you’re just going to ignore it or pretend that my character didn’t do/say anything? Not only is it annoying, it’s rude. Sometimes can even offend some people.
Like, if you don’t want me in the rp, just say it before I write 8,000 paragraphs and end up being ignored!

The obsessive romantic! I never knew I was portraying a trope...but if I ever do, I do it out of love. That is, the love of MxM romance. I also nudge my characters to go after whoever writes the best, which may or may not be the host.
Oh boy... THIS 100%
I feel like I try to be the Actually Fair Roleplayer, but usually end up being the NPC while worrying I'm the Attention Seeker...
I've been wanting to try a group role play since I joined here (only like a week ago now)
This post makes me...not as driven to try it....
