Jaques blinked in surprise when Zalia licked the side of his mouth to get the blood. Without her noticing, he appeared right in front of the door. "If you are wondering about that hunter. I took care of him. And secondly, from what I gather just by your manners right now." He took a step forward, "You are a half-breed, am I right?" He gazed down at her with his charming smile.

Zalia flinched as he appeared in front of her and then took a step towards her. She back-pedaled quickly. "I-I..." She gave a slight nod, her eyes glancing around for somewhere to escape to. "I-I-I'm sorry, I-I couldn't help it, I j-just..!" She suddenly dropped down into a crouch, putting her arms over her head defensively. She knew the attack was coming, and if she kept letting herself get worked up, she'd change. And that wouldn't be good at all. She took in shaky breaths. Block it out. Just block it out. Go somewhere else in your head for a while, and it will all be over. If she could just not think about it, maybe she would be able to survive whatever he decided to do to her.

Jaques smirked softly to her as he walked over to her, kneeling down in front of her. "I'm not going to hurt you, Zalia. Just confused as to why you didn't ask for blood in the first place?" He was a little confused as to why she was acting this way. Holding out a hand to her with a soft charming smile upon his lips. "I'm not that type of vampire. I only use my powers to defend myself, never to attack."

Zalia flinched as she heard his voice so close to her. "But...you're a fullblood. Fullbloods hate half-breeds." She peeked out at him, but she did not take his hand. She definitely didn't trust what he was saying. It had to be a ploy, some way to manipulate her into a false sense of security before he struck. "J-just let me go...I-I didn't mean to intrude..." Of course, though, he knew that hunters were after her. How safe was it out there for her?

Jaques smirked as she stood up then moved away from her, "Why would I hate you? What sort of thing is this about hating half-breeds?" He had no idea what she was talking about. "Please just stay at least for the night and until morning. The the next night, I will make sure the hunters are gone. When they are, then you can go wherever you like. Okay?" He crossed his arms across his chest, "Cause I know you will not make it out if you go out now."

Zalia fidgeted a moment, listening to him. "...alright." she answered. His conditions were acceptable. He was probably right when he said she wouldn't survive out there with the hunters. "...all full-bloods hate half-breeds." she said, in answer to his question of hating her. "We're disgusting...we're lower than dirt. We're just mutts that don't belong, we shouldn't even be existing..." She rubbed her arm, looking down at the floor. It seemed she had certainly heard those words before, if she could say them about herself like that.

Jaques chuckled to himself when the girl started to talk about half-bloods and pure bloods. He shook his head as he walked over to the window again. "Oh please. Really? Is that what those stuck up pure ones say to you?" He smirk as he turn to face Zalia. "For me, I don't care if you are half or pure. You are a guest in my house and also part vampire. So do not worry here." He crosses his arms across his chest. "Let's say this is your home away from home. If you happen to be in the area, feel free to come here anytime you wish. I am always happy to have company."

Zalia looked up when he spoke and stared at him in disbelief. He was a pure blood, and he was...saying this to her? He was being kind to her? She just didn't understand! "Um..I uh..." She was about to tell him she didn't have a home, but then decided to just nod. "Okay." She paused for a few moments, fingers twisting together nervously. "Um...Lord Jaques? N-now that you know I'm part vampire...c-can I have one of your...blood packs? J-just one, since I'm half-blood I don't need much, b-but it's...been a while since I've had any..."

Jaques glanced over his shoulder and gave a soft chuckle, "My dear, please call me Jaques. Lord, seems too silly for you to say and yes you may have a blood pack. I have several different types. All depends on my mood. AB, A, B, O." He started to list all the blood types then paused, "My favorite is B but sometimes when I'm in a sour mood I have O." He chuckles to himself.

Zalia paused when he insisted on just Jaques, then she nodded. "A-alright.." She walked over to the fridge and took in a deep breath. "Well...I-I don't really have a favorite. I just have whatever is available.." She couldn't really afford to be picky. She took a pack of A, so that she wouldn't take his favorite. Blood. That was so nice, to actually have blood available without the danger. "...thank you."

Jaques gave a wave of his hand, "No problem." He smirks softly to her, "I am just happy to have a guest in my house." He walks over to the window and saw the sun was just about to come up. "Sadly, I must take my leave for the day." He turns and winks at Zalia, "Unlike you, my dear. I have to sleep during the day. I will return back refreshed the next night." He gives a gentlemen bow then leaves her be, alone in the dining room.

Zalia didn't want to drink the blood pack while he was here. She was very self-conscious about that. When he spoke of having to leave, she glanced over at the sun. Oh, right. She should probably sleep too. Not as long as he needed, but she HAD been up all night, and then some. "Um..okay. Goodnight.." She watched him go, then drank the blood pack. She threw it away once it was empty, then wandered around the house until she found a spare bedroom, or even a couch. As soon as her head hit the pillow, she would be out like a light. Absolutely exhausted!

However, she would be up by the time night came. She was sitting in the livingroom, staring out the window nervously. She hoped Jaques woke up soon. She had a familiar bad feeling, and wouldn't be able to handle it alone.

When the second night came up, he wasw all ready awake. He walks into the living room to see Zalia looking out the window. "Still worried?" He asked as he walked over to the couch she was sitting on. "You have no worries. You are safe in my home as long as you stay here. The hunters or anyone else that try to come here get scared. They think I'm either a demon or a monster." He burst out laughing but he knew part of it was true. He didn't show his true self to her just yet.

Zalia looked over at him. "...What if it's another monster?" She glanced back at the window, then quickly stood up. "I..I shouldn't be here. I need to go." But it wasn't safe out there. But if she was in here, maybe Jaques would get hurt, and with him being so nice to her...well, she still didn't trust him but that didn't mean she wanted bad things to happen to him.

"..did you sleep well?"

Jaques chuckles to himself when he mentioned the other monsters. "Other monsters? All right if you feel up to leaving this house. But I think you like it here." He moved closer to her and leaned down to stare into her eyes. "Trust me, Zalia. I think you'll be a lot safer if you stay here with me. You haven't seen a monster yet."

Zalia blinked, and when he stared into her eyes she looked away quickly, her cheeks flushing. She took a step away from him. "I-I...I like it a little because nobody's hurting me." she said quietly. She glanced at the window when he spoke of not seeing a monster yet. "...I'm gonna soon..." She shivered, then took in a little breath. She turned her attention back to him. "So...what do you do during the night here?"

Jaques gave a shrug of his shoulders and moved away from her, "Ah, nothing really. Read mostly, since I don't have anyone to talk to. I just read." He walks over to the window and gaze out into the night. He could see the hunters hiding in the bushes and trees. Narrowing his eyes towards them, even though he acted as if he couldn't see them, "It seems you are right about the hunters, Zalia. They are surrounding my home." He shook his head softly. "Or maybe they just caught up with me."

Zalia bit her lip as he spoke of the hunters. "No, they...they're after me. My...my dad sent them.." She shivered. "He has them convinced that I'm really dangerous because I'm just a half-blood. I'm unstable and volatile, he says. So he sends them to do his dirty work." She glanced at the window. "...I'd rather deal with hunters than with him, though..."

Jaques raised an eye brow to her. "Wait, your father hired those men to kiss you? All because you are a half-breed?" He shook his head and walked over to her. Knelt down in front of her,"I want you to stay here. Make this like your own home. As long as you stay here, I will protect you from harm." He gazed into her eyes and in those blue eyes it looked like he really meant it.

Zalia looked at him, nodding. "Yes..." When he knelt down in front of her, she hid her face from him, letting her hair fall in front of it to shield it from his view. "But...it's dangerous for you too." She bit her lip nervously. "If the hunters keep failing, he'll come here himself. He'll kill anyone who gets in his way, and he'll kill anyone I meet, just..." She swallowed nervously. "Just to hurt me. Just to mess with me. He'll kill anyone I say even one word to..." She hid her head under her arms. "I'm sorry...you wouldn't have these problems if I'd never come in.."
