This is a character I'd love to write more. His name is Neil, he dug himself into quite the mess and now he wants out. Not because he's sorry for what he's done, but because he's well aware he's gotten himself into quite a spot of bother.
Neil is a survivor and willing to do whatever it takes to stay afloat. His attitude is rather cocky, his humor cynical and at times pretty crass and his preferred methods of getting out of trouble alternate between good old violence and manipulation/doublecrossing. Neil's not the most loyal, but his previous partners in crime also didn't really give him that much reason to be.
Plot ideas for him:
1. He's supposed to screw someone over for money, but this person gets under his skin. Could end up with him betraying them anyway, or with them fleeing. Depending on the skillset this other character brings to the table, a lot is possible.
2. Someone who's lost a loved one to drugs is pretty pissed at him, but Neil convinces them that he can help them take down a far bigger player in this game, coincidentally the man who is also a threat to Neil himself. So basically they'd at least start out both using the other as a means to an end.
Also open to other stuff, of course! Some light urban fantasy is also fine.
