Y/C lives a normal, dull and average life. Everyday is the same: wake up, work, eat, sleep, rinse and repeat. Nothing changes. That is, until you hear about a strange mansion that suddenly appeared outside of your small town.
No one knows where it came from or how it got there, but it's been there ever since. It was rumored to be filled with many mystical and magical things you'd expect to see in a fairytale, such as fairies and the like. It's never been proven, but people claimed to have seen the mansion move, carried by some strange creature that changes with each story. It could be something like a giant turtle, or even a giant bird made entirely out of fire.
Curiousity growing, you decide to see for yourself and travel outside of town. Turns out, there actually is a great mansion out in the wilderness there and it's then that you meet my character, a strange being who claims to hold magical powers and the mansion is no different.

Magic is rare, but not unheard of. Mundane characters may or may not believe in it. Magical characters may form small and exclusive pockets for study, protection, etc.
