A woman by the name of Syn. A kind and gentle human. No one knows how she died or what had killed her. All they knew was that she was gone, her spirit free from the violence of the world. Little did they know that Syn had been reborn. Not in a good way either. She was recreated through the darkness, not knowing who she was. She became a Shadow, a creature that was nothing but darkness and had no emotions. She went from a kind-hearted woman to a cold-hearted Shadow. She became an eternal servant to the darkness. She didn't know who she was except for her name and she didn't know why she was brought back. She gave herself the name Shadow Heart for Syn Minkara sounded to human.

Shadow walked down the street. Her black hair was in a ponytail so it wasn't touching the ground. Her flawless pale skin seemed to glow slightly from the sun hitting it and her black eyes took in her surroundings. Everyone who bumped into her seemed to be uncomfortable so they mostly tried to stay away from her. She seemed a bit out of place. She held no emotion in her eyes and seemed to pale. She wasn't a vampire and she seemed like a normal person but she wasn't.

Jin was one of those people that had bumped into her on accident, "Uh, oh, I am very sorry!" He said as he bowed to her in apology, feeling ashamed of his clumsiness. He had been walking around with his head in the clouds, he was thinking about juggling his job with the two different styles of martial arts he had been training in. He was on his way to work the day he bumped into her for the first time....

Shadow blinked. She was surprised that somone had actually said sorry for bumping into her." It's okay. I'm used to it." She said. Her voice was strong but had a soft tone to it.

"I'm sorry to hear that, I uh,. have to go to work. But I hope to bump into you again sometime." He said weakly, blushing at her beauty. She made him nervous even though they had just run into each other.

Shadow watched him." Bye then." She waved before walking away. She was still trying to get used to human emotions but he had been handsome. She blushed slightly but shook her head.

After he had gotten done with work, he went to go home. On the way he heard some people talking in an ally way he walking up to. Some thugs had a girl cornered, she didn't seem too concerned though. Jin looked closer, hearing the men say they want to do some things to her. Becoming furious, he ran in to help her, only noticing that it was the girl he had run into earlier. "Leave her alone!" He counted six of them, Not really a problem He thought as he looked at them.

The men looked behind their shoulders." Go away. This is none of your business." One of the other men smirked. Shadow rolled her eyes.
"Exactly what I'd expect from human thugs." She said. One of the men grabbed her throat, squeezing. Shadow winced but simply smacked his hand away before grabbing it and breaking his arm. Her pitch black eyes looked up, watching the others.

Surprised at how strong she was, Jin smirked. "Well then, let's dance." He ran into the ally way, jumped and did a flying dragon kick into the man's face, whom was closest to him. Landing on his feet, he smirked again and used his finger to wave the next person forward to fight.

The men went to attack him but shadows made them stop. Shadow had her eyes closed, murmuring something. The shadows grabbed and threw the men aside, holding them against the wall.
"N-no way. Let's get out of here." The men ran off and the shadows returned into their original spots, becoming still once more. Shadow opened her black eyes and smiled.
"It surprises me how humans run at the sight of something they do not understand." She said.

Now, he was a little scared. "Ah, yeah, hehe. Did I just see what I thought I saw?" He was scared, but intrigued at the same time.

Shadow blinked." You to, huh? I'm a Shadow. I control the shadows around me and become one myself." She stretched." I can also change forms."

"Well I'm glad I'm on your good side. I normally wouldn't tell anybody this, but seeing how you are.... like that, uh I see ghosts." He said trying to break the ice, still nervous of what he just saw.

"I'm not a ghost. I don't have a soul." Shadow didn't seem affected by what he said." Shadows are far from ghosts."

"Yeah, that's not what I was saying. It's just, that's the only thing I'm really capable of, other than fighting." I guess it's not the strangest thing....... actually it is... man, what am I doing? "Well, even without a soul you can still enjoy food right?"

Shadow looked at him." Yeah. I still have a human body." She wondered why he was asking.

"Well, it is getting kinda late... soooo, I was wondering if you'd like to get something eat with me?" He was blushing, and stuttering a little bit because he's nervous.

Shadow blushed a tiny bit. She was silent for a moment before looking away." Sure if you don't mind being near a Shadow."

"Hahaha, I'm near one every day." He said, with a smile growing on his face. "Where is it you like to go?" Jin held his hand out in invitation to go together.

"I've just gotten here a few days ago so I don't know any place around here." She hesitated for the first time since she became a Shadow before taking his hand.

"What do you like to eat?"
