"I'm not picky." She looked at him.

"Alright, well there's a place just down the street, it gives you a good variety of meals to choose from."

"Lead the way." Shadow smiled slightly.

They went to a restaurant called, The Laughing Monkey It's specail for the night was peiking duck and chow mein. Just about everything was made there, and the owner was a friend, so they got a discount on what ever they ordered. "Hey Ken." He said in greeting to his friend. A large man with an appetite and a lot of muscle.

"Heeeyyy, you finally got yourself a girlfriend, about time, you know we were starting to wonder bout ya." Ken said teasing his friend, "What would you kids like tonight?"

Shadow blinked and blushed but stayed silent." Just a water for me at the moment."

They both looked at her. Jin blinked, "Are you not hungry?" looking a little depressed by the turn of events.

"I have to look at a menu at least. I'm not a mind reader."

"Oh right, I'm so sorry. I'm just so used to Jin being the only one in here." He gave her a menu, "Jin you want your usual?"

"Sure Ken, thanks." He smiled at him.

"Alright, I'll come back when you're ready to order, miss." Ken went to get Jin's food started, his takes the longest to make. After a few minutes he returned to see if she was ready to order.

Shadow looked through the menu and sighed." I'll probably go for the special." She said to herself before looking at Jin." So I'm your girlfriend now, huh?" She teased, smiling.

"Alright, I'll go get that started for you." Ken said as he left to prepare their meals.

"Uh," he was blushing. "Well no, but I don't come here with women. I mean, I've only been with a couple girls before."

"You don't have to explain. I was just teasing. Your lucky. No one has the nerves to be around me long enough to be with me." She looked at him.

"Who can pass up a chance to spend the evening with beautiful lady?"

Shadow blinked and blushed." I'm a Shadow. Humans can even sense that there's something wrong with me."

"You're different, that doesn't make you wrong. Ken is the only person that believes I can see ghosts."

The food just got there, and was being put on the table by Ken, "That's right. Believe me, I know better than to doubt him."

"I believe you to. Just like you believe I'm a Shadow." Shadow looked at both Ken and Jin.

"I'm just a handsome guy." Ken said as he laughed,"There's nothin special bout me. Enjoy your food guys."

"Thanks for the food." Shadow smiled.

"You're welcome." Ken said as he left.

"So... uh, what are your hobbies?" Jin asked her still nervous and unknowing of the company he currently keeps.

"Don't have any. I don't live anywhere and if I do, I don't stay there for long." Shadow sipped her water.

The man's boots were loud apoun the floor as he stepped slowly, a grumble in his throat as he thought a bit, and a scowl on his features. He'd tracked the ones who beat on his boys here, to The Laughing Monkey. "Hmph.. Let's see who's laughing now." He said as he placed his fingers around the handle of one of his uzis. Walking by the tables, he glanced around, trying to find some sign as to clue out who might've done it. His eyes fell on Jin and Shadow for just a moment, but there was something about his chilling gaze, those empty, reflective surfaces of his goggles. Did he know?
