"Oh. how will I find you again then?" He asked her. As the new guy came in a ghost appeared right beside Jin. "He's not a very nice man." He couldn't understand why, but when something like this happened, the same ghost always showed up. He was a medium sized man, not very old, about in his early twenties, stocky and wearing a hoody. "He wants to hurt the two of you, she can't be, but he doesn't know that. So it looks like you're gonna have to protect yourself today kid." With that he disappeared. Ken came out, his large demeanor intimidating, he's a 10th Dan in Jin's karate class and know's well how to handle himself. "What can I get for you stranger?" he asked in his usual polite manor towards customers. "One thing, no weapons aloud in my restaurant." He warned him.

Shadow glanced at the newcomer and had the urge to shift forms. She pulled her gaze away and looked at Jin." It wouldn't be that hard to find me. At night I'm on a roof and during the day, I'm wandering the streets like a stray pet."

The steampunkish man appeared unfazed by Ken, quiet for a moment before replying. "No. I don't need anything. I'm looking for someone." Those uzis of course, were hidden away in his jacket. He only had his hand on the inside. Slowly, he withdrew... A card. "I apologize for my strange behavior, but I have chronic tremors. Sometimes holding my hands under my arms is the only way to stop them." On the card was the man's face (strangely, still with the goggles on) and a few details describing his "ailment", before he set his hand back into his coat. He felt a jolt of emotional shadow energy and looked back at Shadow and Jin. "There..." He muttered, walking past Ken and toward the two at the table. He removed his hand from his gun, tapping his fingers on the tabletop. "You know, somethin' real weird happened earlier." He said, withdrawing some sort of steampunk style electric cigarette and taking a puff. "A few friends of mine got beaten up in an alleyway.. Say that they were ambushed by.. Shadows. I go back to the alley, do some research, and I find residual energy there. It's funny, isn't it, that I come here, tracing the energy strands, and the only person I find with similar energy, is this woman here." He was grinning a bit disturbingly, taking another puff before putting it away. "Thaddeus Dredd. Nice to meet you two. I only wish it were under a bit... More positive circumstances. Let's work out a deal... You tell me what exactly went on in the alley. Why you attacked and scared off my boys... And I may leave without harming a hair on anyone's head..."

Jin stood, a little shorter than the man but definitely heavier and stronger, and smirked at him. "Look... pal. When my friend over there says, no weapons, he means no weapons, your sword is showing. And if you can threaten anyone here, you're in for a big problem." The restaurant isn't very big, but people that work there are all taught to fight by Ken, the Head Chef.

"Like I said, now all weapons come to me and I'll get em back to you on the way out the door." Ken said again pushing the issue.

Shadow looked the the man, her black eyes unwavering. A shadow beside her seemed to twitch, ready to move if the man made a move. Her black eyes flickered white but she looked away as the urge to transform became a bit more annoying.

He tsked, shaking his head slowly, but gave up the sword to Ken. "I hope there isn't as much as a scratch on that. By the way. Avoid attempting to unsheathe it. It's boobytrapped with liquid nitrogen." The man noted, before glancing back at the other two. "I'm not trying to start a problem. I'm simply asking questions. I don't care, honestly, how many Power Rangers you have cooking noodles back there. I just want to get my information, work out the problems, and go. If it was the fault of my own men, I'll.. Personally see to it that they are dealt with." He assured. A small, barely noticeable thing slipped from his coat, zipping down on a metal cord. It resembled a spider with a slight orangish glow on its back, and two very large, wide cameras for eyes. It made no sound as it skittered across the floor, clinging to Jin's chair. Oh yes. He'd noticed the shadow. He felt it. His little Injector Bot had a nasty bite to it.. If he saw one move from that flickering shadow, well... Perhaps we'd see how the blood reacts to the introduction of kingsnake venom.

Shadow blinked, hearing the spider. She glared at him." Why don't you focus your little sneak attacks on me? I'm the one who beat up your little friends. The name is Shadow Heart." She relaxed a little." They cornered and said a few things that ticked me off. So I got my revenge on them." She looked at Thaddeus, her black eyes staying dark." Teach them some manners or they might die next time."

Ken took the sword and put it behind the counter with his weapons and cooking utensils.

He was trying to be a little more polite than Shadow, but still not kind.

Jin said, still ready to move on the blink of an eye. "Your goons cornered her in an ally way. Threatened her with knives even. Now if you'll excuse us, our food is getting cold." He said snidely and as he went to sit back down putting his hand on the back of the chair, unknowingly crushing the bot, and picked up his chop sticks to continue eating.

Thaddeus chuckled. "Use my inventions on you, Girl? Why, that would be like trying to break down steel with cardboard. Because you can't die, can you? But getting at you with emotions, well that would be a lot easier." He said as he glanced sadly at the broken invention. He held a hand under the table, a faint rainbow aura surrounding his palm and the bot, causing it to shift and tumble before rocketing into his hand so that he could put it away for repair later. "Alright. If what you say is true, then they'll be punished severely. We don't look for trouble from random people." He said as he stood, stopping by the counter to get his sword. "Goodbye, Jin and Shadow, for now." How did he know their names? Before the question could be uttered, he was gone with his blade in hand, fastening it to his belt.

After he left, Shadow....transformed by accident. She turned into a small black doll with no arms and huge white eyes. She let out a growl, unable to speak as she sat on the ground.

"Jerk. What were you talking about when you said inventions?" Jin asked Shadow after he had started eating again.... "Hey... where'd you go?" he asked dumbly as he just looked back across the table to see that she was gone.

She sighed before standing up. She walked over to Jin, tapping his leg with her shadows. She looked up at him, her white eyes showing her unhappiness with her tansformation.

Even after everything that had just happened he couldn't help but smile at her. Busting out laughing, he reached down and picked her up, setting her on his lap. Once he calmed down enough to speak he asked,"Are you comfortable?"

Shadow looked up at him and nodded. She wanted to wave her arms but she had none in this form so she made the shadows around her become tiny arms. She guestured to Jin that she couldn't speak.

Smiling he said, "Ok, I get it. Do know when you'll change back?" trying to ask her basic yes and no questions.

Shadow shook her head. She sighed as her head drooped.

"It's alright. If I make your food small enough, can you still eat it?"

She guestured that she had no mouth as she looked up at him. Her white eyes watched him.

"Oh. Well I'll get a box for you then." He picked her up and set her back down in the chair he was sitting in. After he got back with a box for her food he put everything in side of it and put the box on the table. Then, putting her back on his lap, he smiled asked if she was comfortable again and if it was alright for him to continue eating.

She guestured go ahead before looking around. She hated her doll form since she was so small.
