He cleaned his plate and just waited until she was ready to go.

Shadow let out a small yawn and stretched before looking up at him and guesturing that she was ready to leave when he was.

He grabbed her food and put her on his shoulder, "Are you alright up there?"

Shadow shrugged as if saying it was fine. She held onto his shirt so she would fall off.

"Do you have anywhere special you'd like to go?"

Shadow shook her head. She jumped off his shoulder and transformed, becoming a small shadow wolf with the same white eyes." Why is this so hard? I just want to be in my human form." She huffed, able to talk now.

Jin reached down and pet her behind the ears. "It's not that much of a problem. I mean it doesn't bother me." He smiled.

"It bothers me though. I need to get used to emotions again or I'm screwed the next time that man comes." She looked up at Jin.

"What do you mean get used to them again?"

"After I died as a human, I haven't had any emotions until recently. I'm not used to them."

"Oh. Well, if I can be of any help I will try."

Shadow sighed." It's fine." She looked around." Where are you heading anyway?"

"My house, if you'd like a place to stay you can stay there if you want. I live alone so it's not as though you'll be bothering anybody."

"If it doesn't bother you. I don't sleep much."

"That's fine, I will set up a room for you." As they got closer, the house came into view. It was a mansion with a large yard and a garden. "We're here, what do you think?"

"It's big." Shadow looked around, taking in the sight.

"Uh yeah sorry, always makes me nervous when others see it. People tend to look at me like I'm pompous or something. At any rate, you're welcome anytime, other than myself, the only that live here, work here." He looked down and smiled at her.

"Did you inherit the house or did you buy it?"

I inherited it, my entire was raised here for the last eight generations. We are born a natural power, mine is the most mundane to ever be known in our blood line."

"Huh." She transformed and this time it was her human form." I was born a human with an unatural ability to cure diseases and poisons until I died and became a Shadow."
