I have a character who is tribal-ish and is prone to walking around topless. She's a woman. Since her mode of dress is in no way sexual, it feels wrong to mark her with the sexuality warning. I don't want people messaging me about the character with smut in mind. At the same time, I would like to provide art of her and of course keep her away from the eyes of anyone underage.
What can I do about this? This might be considered more of a suggestion than something that needs to be in the help section, but is it possible that there could be another character rating or tag for situations like this?

I have a similar character who walks around topless for non-sexual reasons, and I actually got a moderator warning for not marking her profile with a sexual content warning. The FAQs actually refers to that content warning as 'Nudity'. Even if the terminology isn't 100% on the mark, you should still mark your character with the 'Sexuality' warning.
Non-sexual characters getting marked with the sexuality label is actually pretty common, and it's not unusual for highly sexual characters to not have the warning because nothing in the profile itself warrants it. It would be nice if we had a way to contextualize the label though...
If it helps any, I have some characters that fall under that label for different reasons, but I haven't been pestered for smut. Maybe it's because I state that it's not my thing, or maybe those who might pester just haven't found me yet? I can't claim it doesn't happen, but based on just my experience, it doesn't seem to be an issue.

Personally, I lean on the safe side and use the context warnings for my rps. Though, I do well to remember that the warnings only count for excessive topics.
For a character that’s generally topless? Well, it depends on how descriptive you are about the toplessness. Just describing them as topless and leaving it at that is no different than, say, having a character change clothes in front of another character.
With writing, it’s the portions where you start going into details that matter.
Another example would be slicing an NPC in half. If you just describe it as that, then it’s probably not warranted. If you start going into the details of the blood and gore that follows suit, you could definitely use that content warning.

I use the sexuality warning label on all of my characters because they could have sexual content in the roleplay itself.
My character Tigris is a topless female and I also placed the sexuality warning on her profile for that reason despite not going into detail about it on the profile itself.
It would be better if there was simply a "nudity" label, but I think that the site generally just asks for the sexuality filter to be used in its place. It's a little annoying, but it seems to be common place to just use "umbrella" terms. I would go ahead and put the sexuality filter on it.
I also personally haven't experienced any unsolicitated questioning for smut roleplays or erotic roleplays. This could be that I blatantly state that I will not do those on my profiles. Sexual content can happen, but it's not the purpose of the story.
I think you would be just fine and safe to use the sexuality filter for your characters nudity.

The reason nonsexual nudity has to be covered behind a sexuality tag has a lot to do with US law on nudity. If it's not Barbie or Ken doll anatomy and shows nipples or genitals, then it's almost automatically deemed sexual even if it's not.
As far as I'm aware, if you use the gallery widget and mark something as mature, then the rest of the profile doesn't necessarily need a sexuality warning if it doesn't contain any. If the other content on the profile falls under sexuality (such as explicit descriptions of sexual acts or heavy referencing to it), or you use the img bbcode tag to display images with nudity, then the profile needs a tag.
A tag is only necessary for the actual content in the profile itself, not what you're willing to play sexual content, so if you exclusively use the widget for the nude images and you tag the images accordingly, you should be okay. But I'm not a moderator and don't know which profile we're talking about, so please do double check with a moderator on this.

Sanne in the case of all my characters should I uncheck the Sexual themes and what not tag then for most if not all of them then considering I use the gallery widget on all of them and do my best(I try) to tag them as mature when needed?

How you tag is still your own choice as long as all the rules are being followed. If you're more comfortable tagging your profiles even if it's not necessary for that particular profile, you still can! Of course, if images are not suitable for minors then you have to take the correct steps to tag them - this is a must at all times because images also show up in notification feeds.
The policy I currently personally maintain is that if the image in a widget is marked mature, it's already behind every kind of warning/censor it has to be and the profile itself (provided there's nothing else of a mature nature) doesn't need a tag to conform to the rules. It is always safest to tag both images and profile just in case you forget to mark the image, but unless I misinterpreted the tools and rules then this seems to be an acceptable way of tagging profiles adequately.
I think your best bet is to PM a moderator and ask them whether your profiles follow the rules if you're not sure based on the site rules. I could be wrong about my assumptions here and the last thing I want is anyone getting in trouble for following my advice.
From what I know one issue about that warning and all and marking things as mature is if you put your birth year and show your age it'll automatically disable the censor if your 18+ and if your not fond of said images even if you are 18+ you have to hide your age.

I think we're getting off topic here, so this will be my last response to this, but you can change your settings to show or disable mature content by going to your settings: https://www.rprepository.com/settings.php
Your age on the site only grants you access to areas that are 18+ only if you so choose, and mature content settings are turned off by default. You have to opt-in to see mature content at all times, if you experience otherwise do send a bug report to Kim!
PM me if you want to continue this convo please.
