Yes I decided to "borrow" from Shadow over theis, but it was a good idea. For the longest time I made a point of giving god characters a wide berth, by this I mean making one of my own. However I finally decided to break out of my comfort zone and test with one of my own.
Meet Kariah
I made some attempts to tone her down and back away from the whole "invincible" thing. For example, unlike a lot of gods, she can actually die! However it is not a permanent death, her consciousnesses survives the death of her body as a spirit with only weak powers. Normally it will be a matter of years before she regains her body, but if she were to be aided by magic, then this process can be reduced to just a few days. Of course the amount of magic needed would be huge.
She also has two weaknesses. The first is simple, as she is very weak to dark based attacks as she is of the light alignment. The 2nd is not so simple. This one is a social one, basically since she is a goddess, she finds it extremely difficult to interact with mortals. After all, if you learned that your friend could bring back your deceased loved ones, but do you think the majority of people will react? Then even if she does make friends, the mortality part always breaks things up.
Regarding her abilities:
As a goddess of Birth and Rejuvenation, a good chuck of her powers are healing based. Whoever she doesn't use these willy-nilly. She knows that with life comes death and from death comes life. Kariah is very much aware that as something as "simple" as healing someone could have a serious chain reaction...and do really need to point out the kind of effects that bringing someone back from the dead could cause? As a result, the more potent the healing requested, the more likely she is to refuse and the more plot development needed to justify it.
Then there are also her more offensive holy powers. Normally she will try to avoid conflict as she is a lover of peace, but that doesn't mean that she won't fight if she has to. As a light side deity, she will if at all possible avoid fighting to the death. Of course once again, she will kill if her paw is truly forced.
Personality: She isn't at all one of those: "I am all powerful and omnipotent, everyone must worship me!" Instead she is more humble, kind, aloof and very lonely. She wants to have friends and companions, but is more then aware of the problems of such things once again. Kariah doesn't believe that she has any right to consort with mortals. Yet despite this she does sometimes gives into temptation because after all, sometimes one's heart overrides one's reason.
So what do you guys think? Do you have any tips to improve her? Also, would anyone be willing to rp with her so I can experiment and flesh her out some more? *brick'd*

It'd depend on the post length you want. 
I'm not too demanding on post length, but I have to ask for at least a paragraph. I just can't work with a sentence or two. Aside from that, you have total freedom with how long your posts are.
