Welcome to the Legend of the Beasts! As I’m sure you’re aware, this is a Pokemon centered roleplay meant to tell a narrative story through the interactions of us, the players! This roleplay is heavily story-based and will be driven by the player's choices towards a certain goal. It also takes place on a Discord Server dedicated to this roleplay and this roleplay alone. The server is full of detailed rules and information on the simple dice roll battle system.
The story does take place in a certain era of Johto’s history, (150 Years before Gold and Silver) and so I would ask that your character make sense within our world when submitting! You can see the guidelines for creating your character below:
Human Characters:
Your human character can have any age, gender and personality that you desire (within reason). Do make sure they fall in line with the "plot" and would be willing to go on the journey ahead. Please feel free to include an image file to represent your characters appearance when filling out the form. Remember, your character had a life before the RP started so please include any relevant details that could affect the way your character interacts or perceives others in the "About" section.
Pokemon Characters:
While there will be chances for you to add more Pokemon to your team through the progression of the story, I thought it best that everyone start with one. The choice of your Pokemon partner belongs to you. However it is restricted from being one of the following groups: Legendary / Mythical / Pseudo-Legendary. Otherwise it can be any other stage of its evolution. Do note that if you pick a stage 3 Pokemon, your plot encounters will be matched to other stage 3 Pokemon -- other encounters will not be.

Our roleplay will include random encounters (chosen by random based on the story’s current location), event encounters, and story based encounters. Story based encounters have their own character channels.
That also means that you and your partner Pokemon will have to battle! We have a simple dice system in play to simulate the somewhat rock-paper-scissors method of the games. You can find more info on that system in the discord.
As the GM I will be handling a lot of characters used to drive the plot forward, but I hope that you’ll all interact with each other to move our story forward! I'm currently looking for three players to join the three people already on the server.
Here are some helpful tips below!
-The game takes place 150 years before Gold and Silver in the Johto region.
-Pokemon not native to Johto will not be known by their canon names by Johto's population.
-Though you start with only your partner Pokemon, you will be able to encounter numerous Pokemon to join you on your journey!
-Pokemon do not speak by saying their names in this world, they make animalistic sounds unique to each species.
-Pokeballs do not exist, Pokemon partner with humans through mutual trust and understanding.
-Limited Locations are available from the beginning, more will open up as the story moves on!

Magic is rare, but not unheard of. Mundane characters may or may not believe in it. Magical characters may form small and exclusive pockets for study, protection, etc.
Modern
Combat is expected as part of the storyline but it won't dominate the plot.
Details: Occasional dice use, paragraphs required, long-term RP partner preferred.
