She stays asleep

Ember snapped out of her daze. "****." , she looked around to notice that she was alone near the entrance. Night had fallen and it seemed to have been that way for a while now. "F*ck, f*ck, f*ck!" , she quickly grabbed her sledgehammer and jogged back to the room Skykar was suppose to sleep in. When she arrived she didn't find her and continued to the next room, which was empty as well. With her heart pounding in panic she searched each room with small glances. Why does this only happen when the sun sets...?

Foxy whimpers in her sleep

Skylar laid on the cement on the third floor, she was so tired, but she couldn’t sleep. She sighed, and she stood up. She went back in the room that was still filled with walkers. She began killing more and more, seemingly never loosing stamina.

Foxy would wake up, coughing a bit

Ember would sprint around wildly. She didn't even look in the rooms at this point. She kept running and running, panting and heart pounding. Her chest hurt and legs arched but she kept going. Why am I running...?

Skylar cried out as a walker lunged at her, causing her to drop her sword. She looked around. There were 3 more walkers, but she only had her hands. She kicked one in the stomach and stomped on its head. “Bastard!” She stomped on his head 3 more times, then grabbed her katana and killed the last two. She fell to her knees once again.

She coughs loudly

Ember thought she heard a yell and collapsed to the ground, broken of her flight spell. Her heart was beating too loudly and her breaths too quick for her to regain her hearing. She would lay on the ground, chest heaving and limbs twitching as she caught her breath. Her body was sweating and burning hot from the movement. Orange hair plastered to her face and neck. Tears leaked from her eyes of exhaustion. Eventually she sat up after three tries of falling back over. She leaned an elbow onto her left knee and listened carefully.

Skylar didn’t know what had came over her, she began to cry, her shaking hands, coving her face.

Ember caught the crying voice of a girl. She briefly wondered if it was the new girl, Lillianna, that she met earlier. She stood up and limped toward the direction of the crying. She checked every second door to make sure no one was there. Eventually after long hallways she reached stairs and made her way up, holding onto the railing for support. Once at the top she continued her journey toward the wailing. It got louder and louder until Ember turned to look in a room and saw Skylar, much to her surprise, crying on the floor. Ember made her way over to the brunette and crouched down beside her. "H-hey." Her voice was hoarse and dry from running. She coughed a few times before speaking again in a raspy voice. "Skylar...what's wrong there dove?"

She started to cry for Skylar

Skylar quietly wiped her tears. “Nothing. What’s wrong with you?” Skylar stood up and grabbed her katana. She took a deep breath and looked at Ember. “Are you hurt?”

"Just ah..went for a nightly run-" Ember coughed as her voice cracked painfully but she would never admit it. She looked around the room and finally noticed the walkers. "Had a fun time huh?"

Skylar shrugged. She thought about what had happened.. she was killing the walkers when she started thinking about her dad... Skylar winced at the memory, then looked st Ember. “Need help going back downstairs?”

Ember thought about her journey up the stairs and thought for a moment. "Probably."

Skylar helped her down the stairs and she helped her to the room with everyone in it. Skylar smiled, even though she didn’t want to, and she went to the little girl. “Why are you crying?”

"I'm not feeling well"

Ember sat down on the ground and sighed once her leg was finally able to rest properly. She tilted her head back until it was against the wall and closed her eyes for a while. She listened into the conversation between Skylar and the young girl that Ember didn't recognize.

“Let me check your wound, okay?” Skylar unbandaged it s looked st it to see if the wound was the problem.
