Skylar tried not to fall asleep, but after 2 night without sleep, and all the running around, she couldn’t help it. She slowly laid down on the ground and curled a bit, into a ball. She then drifted into a light sleep.

Ember went to offer Skylar one of the cans she brought but found her sleeping. She blinked at the girl's resting body before placing the can down and staring off into the ceiling.

Skylar slept for a good two hours, then woke up, a bit suddenly. She rubbed her eyes and stretched a bit. Skylar looked at Ember and smiled. “No one died.. right?” She joked.

Ember jumped slightly at Skylar's sudden waking. "Ah...only sanity." , she smirked in reply.

Skylar smiled and yawned, ignoring her headache. She grabbed and extra rag, and began cleaning her katana blade.

Ember watched Skylar clean her katana. She was almost mesmerized by it.

Skylar picked st a spot that wouldn’t come off, and she tried to start a conversation. “What’d you do before everyone became doomed?”

Ember thought about Skylar's question for a moment. "I was...a juvenile."

Skylar smiled and glanced at Ember, but then went back to cleaning her katana. “Fun, something in common.” Skylar laughed a bit. “Loved being bossed around.” She stated sarcastically.

"Got that right." , Ember snorted her reply.

Skylar smiled and laughed. She ran her finger on the blade. It cut her finger easily. She smiled, happy that she didn’t have to sharpen it again, it was such a hassle to do so. “Parents?”

"Dead now, but were split before that." , Ember answered with a glance at the cut on Skylar's finger.

“Sorry to ya.” Skylar wiped the blood off, then stretched. “I don’t how all these people have been coming.. It’s quite.. reassuring.. yet, also scary..” she laughed a bit. “If you know what I mean..”

"You can say that again. Just keep poppin' outta nowhere!" , Ember did a motion with her arms that signalled some kind of bursting.

Skylar laughed once again. She shook her head, still smiling. “Need anything cleaned?” Skylar waved the dirty rag in the air.

"This earth." , Ember rolled her eyes at her own edgy response before bringing up her sledgehammer. "And maybe this."

Skylar nodded in agreement, then when Ember got her sledge hammer, Skylar tossed her the rag.

Ember reached out with left hand and caught it before telling Skylar a thank you as she started to clean the edges of the hammer. She made her way around the surfaces.

Skylar nodded in response, then rubbed her eyes as she was still a bit tired.

Ember nodded towards Skylar. "You can sleep more if you want. Spent almost two days an' nights awake, no?"
