Skylar shivered a bit, but then nodded. She then jumped as she heard banging on the door. Skylar ran to the door, and listened. After heard sobbing, she unsheathed her katana and slowly opened the door, prepared for anything. As she saw a young girl. “Is anyone with you?” Skylar growled, still very cautious.
Drew sighed, finding the food room again, trying to see if there was any water in there. The wound on his side had split from a sudden movement, and was oozing, saturating the side of his shirt.
She immediately backed away when she saw the door move. A woman slowly opened it and asked if anyone was with her. She shook her head so quickly that you’d think it would fall off. She stood there shaking with tears still coming down her face.
Skylar let her inside, then closed the large door and double locked it. She turned around to face the girl. She observed her, noticing the cuts and overall dirtiness of the girl. “Are you bitten?”
She looked at her hand and showed her. She shakily said,” I’m not sure but does this count as a bite?” She held out her hand and winced as she moved it.
Skylar glanced at the girl, then sheathed her katana. She set it down, then knelt down to look at the wound. “How’d you get it?”
Rose woke up from her nap as she yawns loudly, rubbing her eyes a bit.
Drew continued trying to find some water to quench his thirst.
She was hesitant to say that she didn’t know. She was very puzzled how she got it but she assumed that she got it when she was running from whatever had been chasing her. It had cut or bit her, whatever it was. She shook her head and mumbled,” I got it when I was running from something chasing me, it cut me or bit me I think. I don’t know what was chasing me because I didn’t see it but I think it was one of those dead things.”
“ B-but if it was one of those dead things, just cut it off because I don’t want to turn into one of those things. I don’t want to die.” She started to shake even more st the thought of it.
Skylar shook her head, and let go of the girl’s hand. “Even if it cut you, it’s infected... I could amputate it... But I don’t know if it’s too late. Do you feel sick? Weak? Do you feel agitated in any way?” Skylar bombarded her with questions.
She quickly shook her head to the questions. “I-i just got this w-when I was running, so I’ve only had it for a short time.” She said to her.
Drew finally found some water, grabbing a bottle, tempted to chug it. He ended up instead choosing to find some clothing and then go shower. Maybe he could clean the wound out enough that it didn't turn him.
"Don't amputate. Can we heal?" the symbiote asks, shifting in Skylar's head.
Ember saw the man from a few days ago pass by and decided to acquaint herself. She bounded towards the entrance of her room and leaned beyond the door, holding the door frame with her left hand as she called out to him. "Hey! I don't know you yet."
Skylar shook her head and whispered, “people will find out about you and question my sanity.”
The picture of a crocodile grinning flashes in Skylar's mind, as the symbiote hisses, "I can heal her, if you want. She can keep a ssecret, yess?"
She yells for Skykar
Skylar looked at the girl. “How old are you, kid?”she then hears rose and yells back, “hang on.”
The symbiote goes silent, waiting for an opportunity. ((Gotta go, I'll be back in the morning))
