Drew sighed casually, weaving his way out of his room. At least he still felt better.

Skylar contined looking out the window, her arms crossed. She frowned a little, thinking about everything. She remembered that man that she hadn’t trusted, and shook her head. The right thing to do would be to reintroduce herself.. But less.. scarily. Skylar stood up with a sigh and left the room, leaving her katana, to look for The guy she didn’t know the name to.

Rolen sits on a couch, watching the leaves outside the window.

Skylar found him in a room with a large couch and a small table in front of it. She bit her bottom lip as she walked in and stood across the room from him. She leaned on the wall and crossed her arms. She was never good at apologizing. “Hey.. look..” Skylar sighed and stood straighter. “Sorry for uh.. my rude introduction. I’m just used to.. defending people I guess.” She looked st the man. “- I’m Skylar.”

Surprised by Skylar's change of persona, Rolen pauses. After a split second, he answers, "No harm done. I'm Rolen." He looks from the window to her, and then smiles. "Ya know where I can get a bite to eat around here?" he asks.

Skylar smiles, happy that he was able to look past it. “Yeah. Over here.” She began walking out of the room, and down the hall. After taking a left, she opened a door and inside were shelves of food. Skylar looked at the ground, and softly cleared her throat. “I’ll uh.. leave you to it.” She tapped her fingers on the door, thinking, but then she left the room.

Rolen nods, and follows Skylar to the food room. He quickly moved to the shelves, beginning to take stock of what they have. After a few minutes, he grabs a can off of the shelf, canned pumpkin, and begins to eat.

Almost an hour later, he stands back and examines his work. Each food is grouped together, organized and easily accessible.

Skylar goes back to the room with the couch. She decided to sit down and relax. Sleep would be great, but she didn’t really feel like it would be a good time to fall asleep. She ran her fingers through her hair and brought her knees to her chest. She looked out the window, thinking.

Ember thought she heard a weird noise and cut off Nelson's reply before he could say it. The orange-head raised her sledgehammer just over her shoulder and walked down the hallway where she heard the noise come from. Looking around the corner she saw slightly opened double doors at the other end of the hallway, to the right. She half ran to the doors before slowly down to a walk again as she came near. Taking a peek inside brought her a sigh. It was just Skylar. Ember strolled into the room with the couch and plastered a smile on her face. "If it isn' the great harbinger of survivors herself- how've ya been Skylar dove?"

Skylar looked at Ember with a smile. “That’s me.” She said sarcastically. She sat a bit straighter. “I’ve been horrible .. been in the same compound as you for the past 3 days.” Skylar joked. “Nah, I’ve been well. How about yourself?”

Ember brought her right hand over the left side of her chest and jerked back as if she had been shot. "Your words pain me so." , she dropped her hand back down as she went over to the couch and plopped down beside Skylar. "Any other lovely people that've joined us?"

Skylar smiled and shook her head. “Nope. No one new. I just apologized to the newest guy. I don’t know if you were around when he came..” she thought about it for a minute, but couldn’t recall if Ember was there when he showed up.

"Barely know anyone's name in here anymore." Ember replied with a contemplative look on her facial features. She thought about all the guys she's seen enter the place but can't recall all of them.

Skylar nodded, smiling. She yawned and placed her hands in her lap. “I don’t know all of them either.. I need to be more involved..” She frowned and looked at Ember, “oh well.” She smiled slightly.

Ember smiled back a little, a bit taken back at Skylar's lack of engagement that she had shown near when the first met not even a week ago. Though it wasn't a bad thing and she would never judge her for it, but maybe it would help bring everyone in the compound together. Trust creates bonds and those bonds help pull humanity through the toughest moments in history. Ember didn't voice this aloud- this was Skylar's little gang and the sledgehammer wielding girl had no desire to put leadership efforts or support to Skylar, only out of lack of experience but not disrespect.

He shut the door and sat down on the floor, muttering quietly to himself and bandaging a small gash on his leg, wincing. "Stupid walkers." He cuts off the end of the bandage with a small knife and lies on the floor, staring at the ceiling.

Rolen saunters into the living room, hefting his axe onto his shoulder. "Alright, people, enough sitting around. There's resources to be gotten, cause this food isn't going to last forever. Skylar, I want you to lead a party to the nearest grocery store. Take what you can, if you want to use my pack you can. If there's anyone there..." He pauses, thinking.

"Recruit them, or kill them." he says, simply.

He strides over to the sofa, and plomps down. "While you guys are gone, I'll see what I can do to set up some defenses around here. Those walls are just plain shabby." he says.

Ember watched the man out of the corner of her eyes and dug her nail into her finger tips slightly until it hurt. Her grey gaze rested on him a while longer before switching to Skylar to watch the girl's reaction.

Drew narrowed his eyes, having returned to the solitude of the room. He sighed, polishing his knives to head out again. He wasn't liking how there were so many people staying here. He planned to steal food in the dead of night, load up on supplies, and leave. For his own safety.

Skylar looked at Rolen with an amused look. “What about the wounded.” She stood up, facing Rolen who was sitting. “The grocery stores here have already been scavenged. The closest place that has yet to be scavenged is at least an hour away....” Skylar shook her head lightly. “This place isn’t permanent anyways.. but it’s good enough. There really hasn’t been many walker encounters anyway. But.. if I go anywhere.. I want someone with you. I don’t know if you’re to be trusted yet.” She looked at Rolen the whole time, making what she had said, serious.
