Ember shrugged and bumped her in a goodhearted manner. "No worries dove; we all feel like kickin' some *ss sometimes." , she laughed lightly but softly at the end as she gave Skylar a smile back.
Drew sighed, shaking his head. "I don't know, Venom. I don't know. I am not feeling too optimistic about a cure. I'll probably be long gone by then, and you'll have some other host or whatever you do when your host dies. Besides, one bad thing about trying to get away from others...even if they found a cure tomorrow, I wouldn't know until too late. But I cannot risk going back and infecting them."
Skylar gently bumped her back after Ember did, then continued to smiled a little. “True..” she kept walking, finally managing to see buildings. “The store is pretty obvious to find, but walkers are not scarce here. So just- watch your back.” Skylar said with a slight shrug.
Ember was the first... Nice living person Skylar had met since the apocalypse sprung on them.. So Skylar, being a sensible person, didn’t want anything to happen to Ember.

Drew looked dully up at the ceiling, a bit sad. "I feel guilty for this, I know. They were so nice, letting me stay there for a while despite my appearance and behavior. And they did not kick me out when they discovered I truly was infected. Hopefully, they forgive me for all of this. I was sure to make sure the room was spotless and I did leave them a note, and left the door closed so they'd be sure to find it. I warned them...not to find me. Warned them that nothing could destroy the virus and that it was safer for me to leave. I doubt they will care, though. I mean, I wasn't there for long."
The symbiote was not pleased that its host was feeling gloomy. Taking advantage of the human peripheral vision, it scans the room for something to talk about. Finding only garbage and broken shelving, it decides to speak of its past.
"I do not normally leave my hosstss. I left Skylar to help you, because Skylar did not need me. You did. You were hurt, and I helped you. You needed to get strong, and better. We -are- better. The sickness will not get to you, not while we are here. But without usss.... We will not leave you." it pauses, thinking shortly.
"You said you didn't know what we do when our hosst dies. It only happened to us once." Brief images flash through Drew's mind, a tall man with peppered grey hair and a bright smile. "Roland was sssmart. We helped people, yesss. Others see us as a monster. Maybe we are, but with him... we weren't." The images flash to a hulking creature, standing over seven foot tall. "We will be better, Host. We--" it hesitates, before concluding, "We will help people."

Ember smirked back as she did a small glance around the area surrounding the outskirts of the buildings before following beside Skylar towards them; not seeing any walkers within her field of vision though she kept an eye out as they got closer. The girl didn't regret coming with Skylar but now that she was closed in by multiple buildings where so many walkers could hide and surprise them, she did however start to question if they should have brought someone else to help ease the work they will have to do. To get enough food and medicine to last another good few weeks would be a lot to carry...but the other would have to guard and then eventually help carry the supplies. It would weigh them down quite a bit no matter how much they decide to take. The thought sent a hot flash onto Ember's back. "Maybe we shoul've brought Drewy dove with us- he lasted long with the bastards. Could've tak'n some notes on how to do that too." , she said in a semi-serious tone.
Drew frowned. "I feel the virus even with you lurking inside of me, Venom. And that is the problem. I think that this virus may be something that is too strong for even you to handle. But I'm glad that you have got my back. He frowned upon seeing the creature. "What was that, Venom?" He asked, slightly concerned.
*matt falls to the ground* hey take it easy pal.. that girl in there I just saved her life *he stood up* I’ve lost everything I had and everyone I loved even through I was promised the bunker was safe... it wasn’t I watched as my squad mates people who I grew up with be devoured blown up and more.. *he shouts in his face slapping the gun out of his hand* I WILL NOT LOSE ANYMORE PEOPLE!!!!
Skylar sighed a little. “I don’t know.. I remember him talking about how he still had the virus.. But him showing us some techniques would’ve been.. better.” She kept walking, eyeing a house to the left of them. The doors were open, but there wasn’t any noise coming from inside it. “I have a bad feeling about going back. Honestly,” Skylar glanced at Ember, then looked ahead, “I don’t know if something happened.. Or it’s just me being paranoid, but I don’t know what to expect when we get back..”
In an eerily cat-like manner, the symbiote forms itself into a tendril, curving around Drew's shoulders. "That... That is us, Drew. That is what we are. Are we a monster? Are we a hero? We don't know anymore. We are lost, too." it murmurs, tucking itself in close to his ear. Holding it's scarf shape for only a moment, it allows itself to drape over Drew, making itself into some dark black blanket. "Ssssleep, host. Rest, we will move in the morning. I will... keep watch." it says, as warmth flows through Drew's body.
Ember tried to tap into her inner sense of paranoia but couldn't seem to feel anything completely horrible stirring within her gut besides the situation they were in currently; though she trusted Skylar's better judgement. "Rolen, Drew, Lillianna, and Nelson are all there still and I know they will all protect Rose, that young blonde kid, and Millerson with their lives. Focus on here and now so we can make it back and figure it all out." , Ember told her with coy grin.
((Dear Zalgo it took me forever to find those names again- Millerson took the longest @-@))

((I'll pretend you meant axe, Rolen uses an axe.))
Having lost grip of his axe, Rolen lets rip a vicious punch aimed for the stranger's jaw. He grins slightly at the cracking sound his knuckle makes against the man's face. Stooping down, he picks up the man by his shirt, and whispers in his ear, "Welcome to hell, pal. Population: Us. If you're going to stay with us, you keep your military crap to yourself. It ain't no help to us now."
He hefts the man up, dragging him into the house. "Make yourself comfortable, if I had any zip ties, you'd be in a pretty bad spot. Showin' up to the compound like you did, sneakin' around. Damned stupid of you!" he says to the stranger. "You get one can of food per meal. Crackers for dessert."
Rolen stalks off to his room, claiming that he is going to rest.

(( it’s been a while since we’ve heard from them..))
Skylar nodded at the well needed advice. “Yeah.. that’d be for the best.” She smiled lightly and kept walking, soon approaching the store. She stopped and looked at it. “Last time I was here, I managed to lock most of the walker that were in the store, in the butcher’s freezer.. so... Don’t go into the freezer unless you wanna smell frozen, rotting flesh..” Skylar gave her a smile and then began walking inside.

((Tis true))
Ember nodded in agreement but couldn't suppress her want to check the freezer out of curiosity of the walkers inside and what it would be like if they were frozen somehow; would that help immobilize them for a long enough time to do risky tasks in the future? She shook her head to clear the thoughts as she set her mind solely on the mission at hand and took the sledgehammer down from her shoulder in preparation of any attacks.

Drew yawned, nodding and dozing off, stretched out and comfortable. Hopefully, this parasite was not lying to him about keeping watch.
*matt cracks the metal plates implanted in his skull and his face returns to normal* I paid millions to look this good... not letting that go to waste *he reaches in his holster pulling out his pistol and shooting out a nearby window and hopping through* idiots... morons the lot of them! *Matt runs off till he reaches a gas station and starts to loot it* Underprepared and undertrained his hand to hand is impressive but very sloppy... *he finds a dog tag with the name “Robert Chang” written on it* Robbie? *he began to question his sanity*
Hearing the shattering of glass, Rolen dashes from his room. He arrives just in time to see the stranger crawl out of the window, and he lets loose a string of choice words selected from only the most vile cuss words. He pondered the idea of giving chase, but decided against it. It wasn't worth his time, but the next time that man came around, he'd meet Rolen's axe.
((Um hi im so sorry for not getting on and just giving readons for not being able to get back on but this time im just going to say im not going to be able to get on for a while because of all of the stuff happening at home. Im sorry. Bye))
Once his host was asleep, the symbiote considered going out and feasting, against the host's wishes. It was growing hungry, the meager scraps it's host had been eating was not near enough. It was weak enough from fighting the disease, it needed to feast.
Feast.
FEAST
Turning from blanket to sinewy muscle, the symbiote engulfs its host in a entirely new body. It leaves Drew asleep, standing and taking a silent step towards the door. As it peeks outside, smelling decay and ... nature, it ponders exactly where it should hunt. The dead pose no threat to us, it tells itself. They will eventually die again, might as well eat them now.
But the disease itself could be a problem. Feasting on the flesh riddled with the exact thing it was fighting would be unwise. Perhaps just some poor animal in the forest will do, a deer or something. However, the symbiote did not know where any forests would be. It set off down the road, walking, jogging, and then sprinting like a madman.
A small pack of coyotes prowled the road, sniffing the remains of a dead horse that lay in a mangled pile of organs and gore. Venom saw the dogs before they saw him, and the hunger overtook any rational thought. He leaped at the nearest one, quickly ripping the head from its shoulders. Before the body hit the ground, it was already feasting on the next. In less than a minute, there were only bloodstains on the ground.
No meat. No fur. Not even bone. Everything edible had been engulfed, and the symbiote was sated.
It returned to the store, laying its host down gently on the shelf. He would not know, he may only feel a bit tired when he awoke. But they would both have the energy needed to keep walking, and when food ran out for his host, Venom would hunt.

Drew eventually opened his eyes, stretching. He yawned wide and sat up, reeling slightly. You'd think that if he had slept all night, he'd be less tired. But either way, he leaped from the shelf and crouched on the floor, picking up his stuff.
