Hey hey! So I'm RP-ing with a friend for the very first time (confetti) and I'm looking for tips on how to get better because she says it's pretty obvious that it's my first time - not a bad thing just means I have more to learn.
Here's our characters
I'm playing as Ganesh. A pic of him
This is our RP (I'm in dark red/pink)
General gist of the world is our characters are a species of fae-werewolf who have attunements to certain elements of nature. They're both meant to be unpleasant bastards with room to grow. And hopefully, be good for each other? Who knows.
Some things I've realized are: my dialogue is kinda stiff and I rely too much on it. I also sort of wrote her character for her once but we're letting it slide lol. I still have no idea how to pace my actions and really... reply to what she's doing though so any tips would be appreciated! Thanks yall

practice practice practice!
to be entirely honest, i'm surprised this is your first time rping because the reply length and the various aspects seem more experienced.
Remember that roleplay really is nothing more than collaberative writing, in order to pace things i'd say stop when you think there's an action or sentence the other player could or would wish to respond to? I think i'd be fairly happy with those replies myself *shrug*
But really I think the only way to get better is practice and just getting more used to the flow and feel of the whole thing. You're already waaaay better than most first time roleplayers, I mean holy crud hahah.

Oof thank you so much?! I've been so self-conscious about it hahah... I love reading and I get critical when I read poor writing so I guess I project that onto myself :,D I'd love to RP with you/other people here one day, you're all so nice ahdhsbfn
