Alexandra was woken up by a loud blaring noise.
Groaning, she rolled over and covered her head with her pillow. But it did nothing to block out the noise.
She sat up and rubbed her eyes, turning to look out her window. It was coming from outside. Frowning, she listened hard for it again, but didn't hear anything.
She was just about to snuggle up again when the sound jolted her awake. She sighed and slid out of bed. Groggily pulling on a shirt and jeans, she blinked the sleep from her eyes before heading out.
When she got outside, she couldn't believe her eyes.
There was a train. In her lawn.
She stood gaping for a bit before a man with a lantern climbed out. "All aboard! Well, are you getting on?," the question was directed at her.
She shook her head, still staring at the train.
"Are you sure? Well then, suit yourself."
With that, the man climbed back in and signaled for the train to continue.
It was as the train was passing that Alexandra thought this whole thing through. A train. In her yard. What was she doing? She'd been saving up for forever to get out of here and she was just letting this miracle slip through her fingers?
Before she knew it, she was running alongside the train. The wind whipped her hair out behind her as she reached out to grab the railing to climb on. She was so close... Just a little more...
She finally grabbed the railing and pulled herself up onto the platform jutting out from the back of the train.
Catching her breath, she watched as her house faded into the distance. Then the man was there with her.
"Well, are you coming inside? Let me see your ticket."
"But... I... I don't have a..."
The man, looking a bit annoyed, instructed her to check her pocket.
She rolled her eyes, but did as she was asked and... pulled out a key card with her name in swirling script. She was still staring at the card when the man took it from her to scan. After he was satisfied, he led her inside and to a compartment.
"This is your room, Miss. You can find everything you need in the closet over there. I hope you have a nice ride."
Alexandra opened her mouth to ask some of the bazillions of questions that buzzed around in her head, but the man was gone. She turned to the closet and opened it, revealing a suitcase packed with necessities.
She immediately thought of her jacket at home and how she wished she'd brought it.
Then it just... appeared. The jacket. It was there. She thought of her watch, notebook, and flashlight and they all appeared.
Well, this was definitely a dream. It had to be. But she figured she should enjoy it while it lasted.
She thought of a simple yet pretty light blue dress she had at home and it appeared in the suitcase, neatly folded.
Once she was changed, she left the room with her key card and a little money to explore the train.
It wasn't long before she came across a smoke-filled car with a bar and loud music. The car had the strong smell of wine and cheap perfume. She hesitated at the door before confidently walking in and sitting at a table in a corner. Why not? Might as well.

Ryku was sitting at one of the seats, alone, after he decided to board this mysterious train that appeared in there front yard, and now is really confused on what this is and where this came from. He quickly melts into his seat since he is a shy person and doesn't like other people (That he doesn't know) Staring at him. He quickly checks his phone and it says "10:30 Pm", so he quickly thinks about his family at the house and wonder if they suspect where he is. He then hears the man who convinced him on here say "This is the last stop, everybody aboard must be ready to explore with the Midnight train!". He is still very confused of what is happening so he puts on his hood and stares out the window looking at all the trees,houses,bushes,and snow!

Alexandra wandered the train, exploring car after car. There were a few with rooms, but most had seats and windows, like the one she was passing through now. She was about to head to the next car when the man's voice echoed through the train: "This is the last stop, everybody aboard must be ready to explore with the Midnight train!". She had no clue what this meant, let alone where exactly this train was going. Sighing, she found someone who looked as confused as she did. Smiling, she walked up to him. "Hey, ok if I sit here?," she asked, gesturing to the seat next to him. He seemed a little withdrawn(hood up and everything) while she was more curious and outgoing, but she didn't mind. At least he didn't know what was going on either.

Looks at her* Oh...ya sure this seat is open..... nice too meet you my name is Ryku, whats yours?

"Oh. So you aren't shy after all," Alexandra said with a smile. "Alexandra. But I go by Alex. So, you look about as confused as I am," she observed as she sat down. "Any idea of what's going on?"

Nope, this is very confusing to me and.....idk whats happening......

Oh..And I am prob the shyest person you will know until we become...well.....closer than we are now (Friends wise)

(Sorry I'm suddenly changing characters. I kind of changed the one I was using before. U'll just have to deal. :p )
Aria smiled, shaking her head in agreement. "Honestly, same. Seems a lot like the polar express to me. Same magical train idea," she said with a smile, remembering her favorite childhood christmas movie.
She laughed when Ryku said he was really shy.
"Well, I could kind of tell. You weren't exactly actively talking to anyone, so...," she said, gesturing to the few other passengers on the train with a smile. "But you don't have to worry. I'm outgoing enough for the both of us," she said with a teasing wink. She then glanced out the window at the unfamiliar passing scenery.
"Soooooo. Where did you come from?," she asked.

(Alright!!) Well, I dont have a family...They were all killed...So I pretty much just stay in my parent's house back a couple streets from where you got on....

"Really?," Aria said, surprised. She hadn't noticed him around before. Maybe it was because she hadn't paid much attention to her neighborhood?
"I didn't know you were in my neighborhood."

I guess it is because I mostly stay inside.....There is not much to do so I usually stay inside....I also never knew you were in the neighborhood Prob because Ive never really explored this place...
