Dear (whomever should find this or sent.)
Congratulations! On behalf of Breakbills, it is a great pleasure that I offer you admission to Breakbills University for the magically gifted!
Much can be said of what magic is, and what magic is not. It is real. It is not for everyone. However, it is not the answer to all your problems. Though, it can transform them into opportunities. It is one thing to know of magic, it is another thing to be a magician.
Magic is born of the notion that our world, govern by its laws of physics which keep us trapped on this isolated rock.
In Breakbills we take that notion and teach them to transform it to something tangible. Hopefully without blowing themselves up int he process. To say it bluntly, magic is not to be dick-ed around with.
I hope, if you study with us, you will learn-through a series of lessons- everything you need to become a magician.
Before any of this could happen, you must pass a written exam issued by school officials, then- if you are to pass- you are to be personally interviewed by one of our staff, and given an introduction to a new life here, in Breakbills.
Yes, it's one of those, isn't it? Hello! I'm proud to introduce the opening of "The Magicians" Role play! This is based off of a book, turned show about a college of magic and some adventures of these students. This, however, will have the same concept of it. From above has little lore-if you could call it that- and I will begin to post more, for those who don't know any of the series, each time a person wants to join. If you don't want to read through my simplified explanations, then you can watch the show. Now, I'm not asking fr you to watch all 3 seasons- it's just too long! Instead, I suggest you watch the first few episodes of Season 1. Just to see how things work down there. If you do have the book or read it, I sincerely hope you join this.
For those interested, I will have to of course check your characters for any buffs to Nerf, or if the character is going to e too OP.
In the role play, you will start your first year in Breakbills, wither you're familiar with magic, or not. Making it true to it's name, you will not be able to do extremely powerful spells the start of the school year-instead, you will have to use simple spells to just annoy people. If you look down you see there will be some combat, I use T-1, though if the majority of the people in it use something else-such as dice rolls- then I'd be more than happy to do it.
As for length, I would like to have a thread for each season, each straining as long as possible. For continuing season, if you loose interest, or just don't want a character to be in it, then we can weave it in the story to make sense.
Have fun.

Magic is common.
Modern
Combat is woven into the storyline and could come to the forefront if the characters seek it out.
