Well... Looking at it desktop wise, the picture in Sid's post looks like a very well done Egyptian-painted eye on a face. Mobile-wise, I agree with the other two, it's just a bunch of lines that makes no sense whatsoever.

Either way, unless you're trying to say "Hi eye" or "hi, I see you" or something similar, I don't see what this adds to a conversation.

...Unless this was a way to have us open up a conversation on how odd the post is. Then it's covertly brilliant.

But if you're looking to make some small talk, Galaxy, may I suggest the Just Talkin' chat? There you can talk about whatever you like! You can also chat in real time with everyone by clicking the "Launch Chat" button on the topic. This also works on any forum topic and even PMs, as a little future side note.

Thanks I know about the chat thing, I just feel very uncomfortable just popping into a conversation

I feel the same way about the chat thingy. Lol I try sometimes but it's kinda like walking up to a group of people already talking...don't like that either!

Just Talkin' isn't really any kind of straight conversation. Folks are perpetually coming and going, the subject changes at random, there are frequently multiple subjects at once, and if people really want to discuss something focused, Just Talkin' is not the place for it. Honestly, it's great having "new" people wander in! (Quotes because sometimes it's someone who's been on RPR awhile and just hadn't been in there yet.)

Plus there's times when it's totally quiet in there. No conversation to interrupt, even if it looks like there was. No one expects to be able to pick up from where they left off in there. And the whole thing gets wiped clean each month anyway.

Yeah. For me, I think it's the real time aspect of it that is intimidating too. But that's true you can just say anything in there. But sometimes people are talking about one thing in there, a game or a character and I don't want to go in there and be like, "I am eating an orange!" Haha. But the OP might not have meant that...that's a good point, no one expects it to make sense in there true true

Pfft. I've done pretty much exactly that, as have others. As for real time... that varies too. But Kim was the OP on that one. It's RPR's official chat, so it's not like it belongs to any specific person or group. There are some rules in the first post, but it's basically don't spam (posting the same stuff over and over, filling it with large images, or other particularly annoying things), don't RP in there, and keep to English in case the mods need to handle something.

But there's nothing wrong with creating a separate space. It just might not be as active. ^^

Oh by original poster I meant I didn't know if Galaxy-Star meant the same thing as what I was describing about why I don't do the Just Talkin' as much as I start threads here.

I have no idea what's happening, but here's the deal: RPR is the friendliest community anyone will ever have the pleasure of joining, and everybody is always welcome to engage in any conversation here in the official OOC chat.

And you're totally welcome to butt in at any time, just like I did now lmao.

The only things prohibited in this thread is legit roleplay, spamming, adult language and anything you wouldn't want your kid to see.
