Flashes, cameras, loud sounds, music, smoke, alcohol, strangers.
Lysander was standing at the backstage training his voice for a long show. This was one of the most important alternative music festivals and he couldn't mess it up as if it was nothing. It was going to be the true beginning of the band and as the lead singer everyone was counting on him. The fandom was counting on him. His family was counting on him. Their haters were counting on them to fail. It was too much pressure to handle, even if he was used to it. Never to this levels.
The guy took a cigarette from the box on top of an amplifier and lighted it up. The smoke invading his lungs. He could see how all his teammates were nervous. Matt was tuning his guitar. Calum was playing with his drumsticks and Dam was playing his bass unplugged, just practicing the same songs they played thousands of times. He sat down on the same amplifier where the Marlboro box was a few seconds ago and lookes around as he exhaled smoke through his nose.
''I would say I'm sorry if I thought that it would change your mind...''
The brunette sang as he tapped on the plastic with his finger to the rhythm of the song. The background music was too loud he couldn't even hear himself. He frowned. The band that was playing right now caused them a lot of trouble, and he's sure he would like to get into a figh with more than one of the integrants. Of course he had to remain relaxed due the performance. But would it be long until the other group finishes? What was the organizer thinking when he put them right after this other band? Din't he even had social media where he could see none of them could stand eachother?

Gus and his band were playing their hearts out. They played over the roaring crowd who loved them so dearly, with an exception for those who didn't. But still, there were a good amount of people there to hear them play and that was enough for Gus and the rest of his band.
Standing at the front of the stage was obviously Gus; who was singing original songs while the crowd was singing along at a louder volume than he ever could. Beside him was his best friend and bass player, josh. Josh was more punk than anyone in the band; with his jet black hair and excessive amount of eyeliner he could be mistaken for a member of my chemical romance.
On the other side of Gus was his lead guitarist, Kenny. Kenny was a softer looking male with his natural brown curls and choice of pastel clothing. He didn't fit in at all with their style but he sure rocked out harder than anyone else there. And finally, hidden in the back was Tyler, who was banging away on his drum set. His shoulder length bright red hair was flying around, though most of it stuck to his sweat covered forehead.
Soon these four boys were done with their part of the show. They all came to the front of the stage just to say their goodbyes before quickly running off stage and into the back where the other bands were waiting. Gus immediately headed over to a small fridge and grabbed himself a refreshing cold bottle of water. He definitely needed it. Thats when he noticed the other band that would be playing right after them. Josh took a deep breath along with a large sip of water. They didn't have a very friendly relationship, at least their fandoms didn't. Gus was okay with just forgetting about all the drama and getting past it, but every-time he went to get a hold of one of their members he always backed out last minute.

As Lysander was finishing his cigarette he heard how the band that was playing was saying goodbye to the crowd. He put it out on the ashtray and and jumped down the speaker as he saw how the other group of four ran down the stage. It was their turn now. The four gathered in a round and looked at eachother. This was a pretty important concert, more than ever because they were barely starting in this world. Everyone knows them as the newbies and they kind of hate being called that. It's been years since they started but they got a little more ''famous'' this last time.
''I'm proud of all of us. Let's give our best up there and blow them away.''
Ly told them. As the leader of the group since they were just kids, it was his duty to give them a boost of confidence. They all put their hands together and went running to the stage. Lysander had a few seconds more so he was just running. On his way there he spotted the other band. A huge secret that is probably going to die with him is the fact that he has a huge crush on Gus, the singer. Not because he's ashamed oor scared of saying it or anything, but because his group will not taki the news very well. And their fanbases will probably explode. Either ways he smirked over to him when he mas sure no one else was watching and sensually played with his lower lip as he was walking. He jumped up the stage and greeted the people there. The crowd exploded in cheers. The guys started playing and Sander started to sing.
After a long time it was time for the last song. Our lead singer was jumping around, waving his hands and really enjoying himself. The public loved them, and there was a lot of people singing along to their songs. It really was a magical experience.
''Thank you everyone for coming! We're Underwater!''
The brunette said as his mates finally stopped the music. The all said goodbye to the public and went running downstairs. It was the turn of another group.
