I have done this idea before, on two separate occasions, the first we got somewhere and the second we couldn't get out of a grotto..
Well here we go.
The world have shattered due to lack of magic to hold it together. A ginormous war, spanning and splitting the earth in two sides, The hands of god and the Terra resistance, had be raging. Their war drained the magic deposits of the planet. No usable magic, what so ever. The planet of earth had turned to an ocean of floating isles. Wifi, the internet and any form of communication is destroyed. The tiny fraction that remains is untapable and is the barrier between having an atmosphere and dying in cold harsh space. Around 40 years later all born are sterile in terms of magic. Magic beings still exist, dragons and so, with some creatures of my own imagination.
Our story starts in a small village, with Hugo here, a veteran and survivor of what he calls "World War Doom" or the third world war for anyone interested, serving as general of the village guards, your character is a guard too. Then a nearby village sends a request for help, saying that they are getting invaded by strange men and are requesting help. We two are sent there and what we see may change the course of history.
So yeah. The technology level is modern so guns exists, but don't have an infinite magazine.
I will be looking for one person to roleplay with, that I choose, not a first come first served, because I don't want to run the same rp with six different people in six separate rps.

On very, very, rare occasions there may be unexplained, POSSIBLY supernatural events. Minor "environmental" magic. Perhaps implies the existence of a deity or supernatural entity. Or perhaps it's just tricks?
Modern
Combat is expected as part of the storyline but it won't dominate the plot.
