Nara looked at the waitress. She blushed a little when he looked at her for an answer." Ummm...I don't mind either." Her voice was small as she pulled the blanket over her mouth, feeling shy.
"Well come on then!" the waitress squealed. She shoo'd them both out the door and guided them to her car. It didn't take them long to reach the building, and Kenneth thanked her for the ride. She said something along the lines of 'I'll do it again anytime', gave Nara a big hug, then got back in her car and left.
Kenneth scratched the back of his head. "Sorry for that, she can be like that." he chuckled.
Kenneth scratched the back of his head. "Sorry for that, she can be like that." he chuckled.
Nara blinked when the woman hugged her." Well at least she's not grumpy or anything like that." Nara watched the car drive away. Nara had never been hugged before so it was new to him. She let out a breath and watched her breath form a mist in front of her.
Kenneth laughed. "No she's not!" he then turned around. "Let's go then." he guided her into the building and into an elevator. Once arrived at the 11th floor, the lift doors opened into a hallway. Kenneth took some keys from his pocket and opened the door straight in front of them. "Here it is, my humble abode." he said, as he allowed Nara to look go in and have a look around first.
Nara walked in and looked around. She wandered around, making a mental map of the place.
Kenneth immediately moved to the kitchen. "Do you want to lie down and sleep, or would you rather have some food first?" he inquired.
Nara's stomach growled loudly, making her blush in embarrassment." I'd rather eat." She smiled.
Kenneth smiled and nodded. He quickly made her a sandwich and brought it over to her, then sat down next to her. He wasn't hungry, so he settled for some coffee.
Nara looked up at him." Thank you." She began to eat. She felt better when she finished eating, which was pretty fast.
Kenneth grinned when he saw how fast the sandwich went down, and gave her a glass of water. "Now you drink this, and go get some rest. The guest room is stuffed at the moment, so you can use mine and I'll sleep on the couch here for tonight. i'll clean the guestroom tomorrow." he smiled at her, and would point out his room when she was finished drinking.
She shook her head." No, I don't want to be a bother. I can sleep on the couch." She sipped the water.
"Nope, you're not." Kenneth replied. He walked to his room and opened it, revealing a rather large bed. It would probably fit Nara five times. "Here, you sleep on that." he said. "You need your sleep more than I do."
Nara frowned." I don't want to take anything away from you. I thank you for taking me in but I will not accept you giving up something even if it is for a short while." Nara crossed her arms, being stubborn.
Kenneth shrugged, grinned, and picked her up. He walked into the room and threw her onto the bed, hoping the large softness would have her change her mind. Not waiting for an answer, he walked back to the door. "G'night." he said, and closed it.
"Hey! No fair!" She pouted. She blinked, trying to stay awake. Huffing, she crawled off the bed and laid on the floor against the wall. She fell asleep as soon as she curled up.
Kenneth got walked into her room at noon the day after. She hadn't come out yet, so he just assumed she'd still been sleeping. She couldn't possibly sleep in the whole day, though. When he looked at the bed and Nara wasn't there, he started getting worried. Looking around, he found her on the other side of the large piece of furniture and threw his head back, sighing deeply. He picked her up and sat her dow on the bed. "Hey, you, stubborn kid." he said with a smile. "Wake up, sleepyhead."
Nara stirred before opening her eyes. She felt groggy as she looked up at him. She murmured something before closing her eyes again. She didn't want to get up yet and felt to tired to move.
Kenneth just picked her up then and carried her out of the room. "Come on. If you'll sleep all day, you won't be getting any sleep at night." he explained. He put her down in the sofa and put a cup of warm tea on the table in front of her. "Here, drink some of this." he said before walking back to the kitchen in order to make lunch.
Nara opened her eyes again before picking up the cup and chugging it down. She placed it back down on the table before yawning and stretching." What time is it anyway?" She looked around, blinking as her eyes adjusted to the brightness of the room.
Kenneth looked at her from behind the kitchen counter, then at his watch. "Half past two PM." he replied.
