Victor shrugged. "Maybe?" he suggested. He didn't know much about what girls liked. "Girls like butterflies and pretty stuff. Maybe they'd like you if they could see your wings," he said to Pier.

Pieridae did little more than another one of his all to familiar shrugs as he eyed the men. Their food had just arrived and they seemed pre occupied at the moment. It would suck to have to fight them in the middle of a diner, with all of these people around. They would stare at his wings, he wasn't too fond of people doing that, especially when everyone did it.

Victor couldn't read the fae's mind so all he knew was that the man had shrugged again. "Use your words when people talk to you," he told Pier, again parroting back something he'd been told himself at some point. The boy drank more of his milk shake and slowly finished off half his burger. The other two quarters he wrapped in a napkin, probably to take with him when they left.

"You just want to see my wings again don't you?" He shook his head then finished his water, looking at the two hunters the whole time. His bowl was just about empty so he fished out his wallet from his pack next to him. Once he pulled it out he waited for the waitress to place the check.

"No. I don't think we're talking about the same thing anymore," the boy replied. Sure Victor would minding seeing the fae's wings again, they were pretty, but he didn't have any strong desire to see them right that moment. "Do you think they'll cause trouble when we leave?" he asked quietly of the two men at the other table. The waitress arrived as he was talking and smiled at him. "Did you want that to go?" she asked pointing at his poorly hidden half a burger. "Uh, I guess?" he answered not sure what he was supposed to say. He did want to take it with him and he was going.

Pieridae realised that Victor didn't get his dry joke, it was probably his tone of voice that made it hard to notice. The fae looked at the Hunters, but before he spoke the waitress came. "We'll take that to go. We just need a check and we'll be out of your hair ma'am." The waitress nodded and left to get a box. Then Pieridae spoke about tha hunters. "They might. I don't want to make a scene in an establishment such as this but they might not care." He shrugged again and touched his hip to make sure his knife was still there. He wouldn't kill anyone with it, just scare them away if need be.
