"I'm not a 'youngling'" Victor says making quote fingers as he spits out the word. The boy stares hard at the man. "Why don't you just leave already if you're going to," he says with less venom in his voice.
"I guess I should leave shouldn't I? My time has been exceeded in this place." Pieridae turned to go but only took a few steps before turning around and saying, "It was nice meeting you Victor. I rarely meet anyone, let alone enjoy their company. It was a pleasure to talk to you. Good luck in this life my friend." After he speaks he turns ad begins to walk away.
"I'm not your friend," the boy calls back at the man. "... Stupid liar," he grumbles to himself not believing the man's words. Sure Pier hadn't done anything to him, but that didn't mean he wouldn't at some other time. Victor fiddles with coin around his neck and pulls it up to his lips and rubs it against his mouth. The boy half closes his eyes as he slides the coin into his mouth and starts to suck on it. He closes the red door and begins packing up his things. Weather Pier as nice as he seemed or was faking it he knew where the boy lived and maybe just maybe he might be able to find it again later or lead others to to it. With this in mind, Victor decides that it would be in his best interest to do some traveling on his own for a while.
Time passed and the boy with the red door had faded from Pieridae's mind. He wasn't one to focus on the past, just the present. And the present was an argument with two other hunters. They were angry that Pieridae, another hunter, was there.
"Get out of here pest. We've been here since the sun came up, the game here is ours for the taking."
The fae's icy tone broke his silence. "This is not your land, nor is it your game. This is unowned forest. I will go when I am ready to move on." He glared at the hunters from under his hood.
The speaking opposer growled in the way angry humans can. He shouted at the fae, "LEAVE NOW!"
Unphased there was one response, coldly spoken with a hint of a threat Pieridae said, "Make me."

Something moved in the trees over head. A big cat seemed to call from somewhere in the trees above the hunters. Branches shook as something moved among the trees and rained leaves down on the hunters below.
As the leaves fell Pieridae opened his hands by his sides while the speaking agressor clentched his fist. The second, smaller, hunter skirted around the fae slowly, as if trying to get to a point to attack the fae from behind. It was all too obvious. The fae exploded upwards with a lunge and a wing beat. He thrusted his momentum driven palms into the larger hunter's jaw and sent his staggering backwards.
Pieridae landed and ducked a swing from the smaller hunter. He side stepped his charge and positioned himself behind him to send three quick punches into the kindey area of the mans back. The shots from the fae's small hands made the man grunt loudly in pain and swing his arm around. The fore arm caught the winged creature in the head and knocked him to the ground. Rolling, the fae got up quickly, and maybe slightly dizzy. He ducked another swing and punched him four times in the stomach with small but strong hands. As he doubled over the fae exploded upwards hands first, knocking the smaller agressor on his back, where he stayed.
By then the spokesman of the angry hunters had regained his balance and was already upon the hunting fae. Pieridaes feet where inches from touching the ground again when his wings were caught by the other hunter. He dangled there as the larger hunter brought his large fist into the fae's side and threw him sideways onto the ground. He laid there stunned for a second as the other hunter charged again. He got up and pulled a knife out of his boot, hovering quickly he shot at the man and laid it against his neck. The hunter stood still as a leaf fell onto his head.
"Leave. Go now." He looked over to the other hunter slowly getting up, "Take him and get out of hear." The man with the knife against his throat nodded and left quickly. As he regained his where abouts the fae picked up his bow and aimed it at the trees where the falling leaves came from. He could use a nice meal now.

The twigs overhead rustled a bit more and something fell down behind a tree. Actually Victor had jumped out of the tree. The boy stepped out into view, looking a fair bit worse than at than the last time the Fae had seen him months ago. The boy had a large bruise across the side of his face and his shirt was torn to rags. Twigs, leaves and flecks of bark clung to his hair. He held his hands up as the Fae looked ready to shoot him from his point of view. His right hand held a knife, but otherwise he seemed unarmed.
The fae trained his bow at the trees above, and when something fell out of them he quickly followed it, string drawn taut. When he realizes the object is a boy he takes a second to take in the site. He motioned with his drawn bow for the boy to put his knife down, but as he did so a smile came across his untill-then-expressionless-face. "Hello youngling." He aimed his bow down and gave the string some slack.
Victor drops his knife at his own feet and places a foot on the blade's handle. It's not much of a knife, just a sharpened stone shaped to fit the boy's hand well so he can hack at plants and animals alike with little trouble.
The youth scowls at Pier when he uses the insulting term for the boy.
"You're not gonna shot me," the young man states sounding fairly sure of himself. "Don't you have a knife of your own?" he asks, "What would you need mine for?"

As pieridae swings the bow over his shoulder with a wince he responds with, "none." He then put the arrow back in his quiver and took in the site of the boy. However bad the fae feels after his encounter, the boy infront of him looked much worst. What was his name? Hector? Trevor? Victor! Yes! That was it! Victor! The fae smiled again with his hood still over the better half of his face, "interesting meeting you here Victor."
The boy knelt down and retrieved his knife. "No you don't have a knife or no you don't need one?" he asks not liking how vague the fae's replies tended to be.
"No need for it." Pieridae pulled up his pant leg to show his hunting knife strapped to his boot and then brandished the three throwing knives he carried at his hip. He pointed at the bruise on the boy's face. "What caused it?"
Victor shrugs. "Human, tree, rabbit, whatever take your pick."
The hooded face looks up more to reveal all of it as he speaks to the child. "Human? What human did this?"
"Why would I tell you?" the young man replies sourly. "Might not have been a human for all you know. I didn't say it was and I didn't say it wasn't." He returns his knife to a slit in his pants made for it at his hip. The boy stares at Pier waiting for an answer.
"Don't have to. Been out n' about long?" The fae gestured to the forest, wincing only slightly as he moves his side.
"A while. Looked like someone trying to use a fawn for bait or something. And found a doe that got shot. Dunno if the doe and fawn went together or not. Venison's venison don't think coming from a doe instead of a buck would make too much difference," he says more casually, "Does get shot sometimes it's not too strange." He tilts his head at Pier. "You having any luck?" he asks.
Pieridae shakes his head and holds up an empty rope where he can put small game. "Nothing." The fae does his common shrug, "I always have dried meat at my camp. When did you eat last?"
The boy is quiet as he seems to think about the question. "... a while ago," he says hesitantly. He fiddles with the keys on the his belt as he asks, "Why?"
Hands gestured at his appearence. "Don't look like you've had much luck living out here. Why aren't you home?" Rather than curiosity the fae's voice had more a hint of disaproval than anything else. The youngling is bound to get himself killed, he thought.
