"I'm fine," the boy says crossly. When Pier questions him on why he wasn't at home the youth scowls. "I have my reasons. I can go places if I want to."

"Of course you can. Curious why here." Pieridae ignored the look, this was still an interesting boy. He looked worst than last time though.

"I walked and my feet brought me here. That's how I got here," Victor says. "I ate some of the doe's meat when I found it. ...... There's a lot more humans here than other places, but not as much as a where there's buildings and stuff," he says as he jangles his keys.

Pieridae nods quietly for a couple of seconds before speaking. "Come victor, you must eat something. You can have some of my dried meat and I shall see if I have fruit." The fae sounds eager to help the young boy out, and he is! Pieridae feels bad for this child, even if he tends to act somewhat odd.

"I said I was fine," the boy says again defensively. He doesn't know Pier very well and for all he knows the fae might do something to the food he'd give him.

The fae nodds and shrugs. "Suit yourself." He looked up to the sky, its flame slowly became more intense through the trees. "Night draws near. I reccommend you find shelter." He looked at the boy's condition, "good shelter."

Victor seems to ignore the fae. "I will, I will," he says offhandedly as if dismissing Pier's concern, "You just worry about yourself and let me worry about me."

The fae laughed, "Yes because you have done such a good job." The fae pulled out a small dagger on his hip, one he didn't brandish earlier, and tossed it onto the ground. "At least have a proper tool youngling. I'll see if I can bring any supplies for you tomorrow, I might be able to spare some." Pieridae turned around and started walking off into the woods with his equitment.

The boy took a step back and looked from the knife to Pier a few times before picking it up. "If you want to give away stuff that's your business. I said I was fine," he says again. He watches the fae walk off and shakes his head as he looks the knife over.

The Fae quickly prepared camp and slept easy, he ate a small amount of fruit for dinner, trying to save some food for Victor.

Victor spent the night in a hallow between some trees. He ate a little from the stash of jerky, nuts and berries he'd brought from home for his evening meal. Afterwards the boy spent a good part of the evening curled up in his green hidey-hole with a lighter in one hand and the knife he'd been given in the other. He turned the knife around in his hand under the lighter's glow and admired how the light reflected off the blade. After a nearly a half hour he tired of playing with his new knife and put it away. He used the lighter to keep a small fire going through the night in front of his crude shelter to keep warm and repel wild life. Victor woke shortly before dawn the next day a bit stiff and damp with dew but alert.

Morning came swiftly to the small hunter, and he arose with it. He ate a dried meat breakfast and set some aside to bring to the boy he was trying to help. After finishing he checked his traps, skinning any animals he found. He then packed up and head through the woods to find the youngling.

Victor had had a similar day of checking traps and set new ones. The boy had caught several squirrels and two rabbits, far more than he could eat in one sitting. He had returned to his shelter to dry and meat and cure the hides. The boy sat between the trees and his fire scraping fur from the one of the rabbit skins when he heard something coming near through the woods.

The fae smelt the fire somewhere around him and walked towards it. When he came closer he found the boy with quite a nice catch of food with him. However, Pieridae still thought it would be best if he left some dried food with the boy. "Told you I'd come back with some food youngling." Pieridae dropped his backpack and pulled out some wrapped up sald cured ham. "Found a hog a bit back," he explained. He held out the meat for the boy to take.

Victor didn't seem happy to see the fae nor unhappy either. He did not take the offered food but continued at his work. "I don't need your food," he said quietly, "I have plenty of my own."

He withdrew his hand put kept it at his side as he stood, wings hidden under his shirt as usual. "That isn't how it seemed the other day."

"That was the other day. Now it's today," the boy says casually. "... were you thinking of staying here?" he asks after a long pause.

The fae tilted his head to think for a second. "I don't know. Never really thought about it. There is definately plenty of food, and the forest is nice enough. The people aren't too much of a problem... anymore."

"Are you going to stay here in this spot?" the boy asked clarify what he'd intended to say before. "... I suppose I could share if I had to," he said looking over at the meat he was drying for himself.

The fae cocked his head inquisitively. "Didn't I just answer that?" The fae sat down and leaned against his backpack, one leg streatched out, the other bent with his arms resting on it.
