Hey, there!

I'm Tailais (oft referred to as 'Tails'), and some RP buddies and I are looking to get something new started. We recently finished our long-term Persona 5 style tabletop/RP hybrid after many months of good ol' writing, and now some of the members from that old group are interested in moving forward with something new.

Our RP's go on for usually some time (a few months, at least), and feature both Discord-based good ol' classic RP between characters, and then online tabletop sessions on Roll20 (a nifty tabletop website) for when things get dicey (see what I did there?), and the combat starts. We use fully written homebrew tabletop rules in the vain of D&D for these sequences.


We want to gather interest in either a Persona 4 style OC RP of a similar vain to the one we'd just completed- Or in an effort to branch out a little more, a Fire Emblem OC RP alternatively. As we're undecided on which of the two to do, we'd like to get the consensus from people who want to tag along- If you're interested in joining at all, do let us know which of the two you'd prefer!

Otherwise, however, we're not particularly picky with English or it's usage (none of us are grammar fanatics), nor are we really fussy about many things- As long as people are having fun! Our RP's generally tend to focus on characters and their relationships with one another, character development, and the telling of overarching stories involving said characters.

As things in our RP's tend to feature mature / sometimes darker themes, optional player-character romance, some profanity, violence, or other things of the like, we're definitely looking for people at least 16 or older.

- Persona

The Persona story would be set in the fictional town of Saihara, placed within the Persona universe- The same town as the previous RP, except 20-or-so years in the future, after the events of the previous RP. Don't worry- No knowledge of the previous RP is required! (Or expected. Lol.)

A new group of first/second/third year high school students would attend Hyuma High School, Saihara's first school to open up within it's city limits, some-twenty-years ago. And with this history, comes it's prestige, as well- Hyuma High has become quite eloquent and, for lack of a better word, 'fancy'. A clean, well-ran high school that has seen it's fair share of drama. Not quite a school -strictly- for the wealthy and affluent, exclusively, no- Although one wouldn't blink twice were they to see a few around the campus. A high-achieving school that's grown from it's humble beginnings in record time.

The story would be told in a style similar to Persona 4- The existence of the TV World, Personas, Shadows, the whole song and dance- However, instead starring our colorful cast of OC's, and set inside the canonical Persona universe sometime 40-ish years after Persona 5, and 20-ish years after our previous RP.

For this, characters would need to have their own secrets they could use to spawn their shadows within the TV world. As such, some understanding of Persona 4's themes and concepts are needed.


- Fire Emblem

This one's considerably more open, with less established OC lore, as we've never done it before- However, the building blocks are being placed for an original story to be told within Fire Emblem's universe. More specifically, we're thinking of focusing on Fire Emblem Awakening's setting, our story taking place a few hundred years after the events of that game.

The kingdoms would have changed, the world shifted, events of the past slowly beginning to fade behind into naught but written record, or legend. Things are still being written for this, should people decide that Fire Emblem is the preferred theme for the RP- However I can probably ballpark-estimate that the story will be taking place- Or at least start- On Valm and it's surrounding kingdoms / dukedoms / etc.

More information will be given about this theme should people decide that, overall, people would prefer doing it.

TL;DR

- Long-Term RP group looking to start something new, and to gather interest.

- OC-Driven RP, can be set in either the Persona universe or the Fire Emblem (Awakening) Universe - Give us your preference! What would you rather do?

- Character-Focused RP style- Character Development and relationships between the characters are a focus. (Romance permitted should both players be interested in it.)

- Mature or darker themes may be present, profanity and/or violence, and possible suggestive themes as well- A level of maturity is asked of everyone, 16+ is a must!

- Overarching story to be told, D&D-Style tabletop sessions and character sheets in use. A computer is required for these sessions.

- Discord and the Website Roll20 will be used for this RP. Everything will be explained- Roll20's really easy to use! Discord for classic RP-style, and Roll20 when the dice come out!

- If you'd rather Persona, please ensure character ages are suitable for a first, second, or third year high school student.

- If you'd prefer Fire Emblem, please ensure you have a class in mind for your character that is featured in 'Fire Emblem Awakening'. Classes from other games are unlikely to be permitted- Special character circumstances may bypass this.

Wow this seems really well thought out and like a lot of fun.

Well written LFRP, right? I have some interest too, being a lover of FE:A, but finding I'd rather play the Persona game due to me liking everything about that series except the gameplay. I'm familiar with Persona 4 and 5's themes and main stories but barely any of the side quests and social links from 4 for example.

Scheduling games with me is also a nightmare, so what days do you typically think would be game days?

That's all totally cool. In terms of scheduling games, our RP group's had all kinds of people from all kinds of time zones and countries at different stages in the past so we always try to keep things flexible.

Discord-based slice-of-life stuff is pretty easy as people can respond whenever they get a free moment.

Tabletop game sessions are only needed when the story / events call for them, or if people want to do it for the fun of it / want to do things like levelling, or somesuch, for example. With that said, we usually try to take people's schedules into account and find out what the best times are to do things, and how often we can do them based on that.

Once we've got a gang together, figuring out when or how often we can have opportunities to roll some dice will be much easier, haha. Hopefully that clears everything up!

Ahh okay. More casual, and sounds bigger in player number than I first thought? I'm still down then if you'll have me as a "maybe" for a week or two into it to see if I have fun popping in and out. I have an hour or so per day easily, It's just those important, 3-4 hour (guessing) event sessions I'll probably be missing out on. I'm very curious of the homebrew rules. So yeah, I'd love an invite.
