Nevermind! Literally, as soon as I posted this, I found my answer. By the way, for anyone derping like I did, if you want to invite a member, go to the live site, not the editing viewer.
At the top of the group pages (the pages people visit, not the administration pages) you can invite a new member under 'Manage Members'.
