red-veins

a character's handwriting is something that doesn't get mentioned too often. have you ever thought about it? would they have neat, perfect handwriting, or would they be that one person who looks like you let a monkey with no hands try to write something? feel free to just explain it or share an example, im a nerd for this sort of dumb stuff. :'D

venus' handwriting would be atrocious. she's severely dyslexic to the point where even writing's difficult for her- it's even worse because the more frustrated she gets with her writing, the more illegible it becomes. she ends up drawing pictures a lot.

amanda's handwriting is a little better- sort of neat, but also messy in that quick, scrawled-out sort of cop way. she uses cursive a lot, but has a habit of writing important things out in big, spaced out letters because it made it easier for venus to read.

so yes, do share! i love hearing about other people's characters and the small details that get overlooked. it's interesting.
Samson's handwriting is very flowery, formal prose, almost like artwork. The best word to apply it, is almost...calligraphic, like an early form of cursive, one letter flowing into the next, and the next...

Azilie has a very loose style for handwriting. Looped letters kind of reminiscent to cursive, but never connecting. The font I tend to use to represent it well is called 'Freestyle Script'.

But that is only when the character is writing in common or Gaelic. If she writes in Futhark, which is a Runic Language, the script is thick, blocky, and jagged.
I'll start with the easiest. Mia (at her youngest, canon age) is still developing a handwriting style, so her lettering is misshapen and generally pretty large. She writes slowly, but even so, her writing turns out sloppy because she hasn't developed that much motor control yet. As she gets older, though, she writes faster, and it becomes smaller, neater, and more slanted. Her printing has tall, thin letters tilted forwards like everything's in italics, and though her cursive is a bit rounder and more pleasing to look at, she still writes like her letters are all in a hurry to go somewhere.

Kai's handwriting I imagine is much like mine in that it's difficult to distinguish whether it's printing or cursive. Her writing is somewhat messy, and half the time letters join together simply so that she doesn't have to pick up her writing tool of choice. After her fatal run-in with a vampire, her writing gets a bit shakier and heavier, because her movements get more jerky and she grips pens/pencils too hard, mostly unknowingly, with her undead strength.

Ghaurug's handwriting is a sort of scrawl: legible, if only just, and kind of like the handwriting of a stereotypical modern Earth doctor. His handwriting in Orcish is worse than his handwriting in common Cyrodiilic/Tamrielic, partly due to disuse and partly because he was younger when he learned to write in Orcish and hadn't quite developed his current writing style yet.

I haven't yet developed any of the three written forms for Cchaaneh's languages, and I'm not sure when I will. Still, I imagine they write with great haste, especially when taking notes on something. Their handwriting is probably only legible to Cchaaneh themself. They type or use dictation software more than they write by hand, I know that much, but when they do write by hand I feel like it's probably a mess.
Tara's handwriting is very legible, and small. The letters are close together while the words are separated.

Turiel's handwriting is sharp and condensed. It's definitely harder to read, but it is possible to understand it.

Ismene doesn't wrote often, for various reasons. But when she does, she has the handwriting of a kindergartener, all over the place and fairly large.

Eleanora has loopy handwriting, over exaggerating 'g's, 'q's and 'y's. Her words and letters can be crunched together, yet with a trained eye it can be read.

Aelina's handwriting is large, words and letters packed together on the page. It is a mix between cursive and print, and surprisingly legible for the most part.

Kanako's handwriting is just plain calligraphy. It's legible, and a little bit aesthetically pleasing.

Astra's handwriting can fluctuate. It really depends on the day and what she is feeling. It can range from fairly messy and small, with smushed together words, to large and curvy, with many intracate swirls to make it look fancy.
Jack Siderdruid Black's hand writing would look like stab marks in a paper
Ember_Wolf

Ember's handwriting (Or pawwriting in this case?) Is neat and compact, but still readable.
Same applies to blade
