As someone who draws all my own OC pictures, likes to doodle out RP scenes and ships, or even just use art for reference during an RP, I'm a very visual person who loves when I can find people who do the same.

I have a lot of fun rping with anyone, but it's so nice to have that visual reference, or receive that gift art, or see a location or item in your RP, c'mon I know I'm not alone!

Here's a spot for any of you artists out there who want to share your love of RP with your love of Art!

Let us know about you and your art and maybe we can make some connections:

I'm Nat, 29, female, and I love drawing my ocs. My favorites being my boys Iggy and Creedit. I tend to favor character interaction and dynamic over most things. While all character development and relationship type rps are awesome, I can't help enjoying a little romance or flings. Judge me, I am heathen.

yaaaSSSS.

RP doodles consist of, like, 90% of my art. one of the main reasons i got into art, actually, since it's always strange using face claims instead of drawing your character out as exactly as you picture them in your head. and while i'm not the best artist by far, it's still fun to draw my ####lords in their usual shenanigans. certainly makes me better able to develop them, that's for sure.

also, i draw my partners way too many things. i'm pretty sure i've gotten to the point where i draw other people's characters more than mine, but i love everybody's characters too much //SOBS i'm also weak to ships. i feel bad for my partners who have romances with my characters, 'cause that promises they're going to get a bunch of bad doodles from me ((; god bless anyone who RPs with Venus, she's one of those 'you're going to get art whether you like it or not' characters.

it's hard to pinpoint my favorite RP related things to draw, though. it's at tie between romance or clashing character dynamics, that's for sure. also, shitposting. love me some dank memes

Your arts very cute! And I'm totally there with you, making fun of ocs is half the fun of a
owning them!

Ooo, ooooo, me! Me! I love to draw my own characters, though I had fallen behind for a while since I lost the colored pencils and sharpie I usually draw with. I found them recently though and am slowly but surely getting back to drawing :3

Speaking of, there are a few requests I need to draw at the moment, I just really haven't found the time to recently ^^;

Regardless, yeah, I love to draw even if I may not be the most skilled and I've drawn the profile pics for all my characters, my favorite character to draw being my character, Phoenixheart ^_^

I hesitate to call myself an artist, but I do like to sketch things out. And lately, I've been trying to improve, watching artists on YouTube, etc. I mostly just draw my OC Eli, but my end goal is to draw trashy book covers for my trashy stories. XD

I totally agree. Sometimes, I feel the need to draw diagrams and things and maps, so I could illustrate exactly what I need to say. And also to break up my massive textwalls, because I often ramble on way too much.

Your art is lovely, by the way! Your space-bunny dude is adorable. I think you did a free art thread way back when, which inspired the person who did free art of my character, which then inspired me to draw more! So indirectly, I guess, thank you! ^_^

Thank you! Creedit is a sweet but dimwitted lad hahaha!
I'm glad to have inspired you x'D us artists gotta stick together after all, and drawing ocs is totally the best in my humble opinion!
It is always so wonderful to meet people with common interests and ideas! I love to draw out relationships formed in roleplays, as well as scenes depicted inside them! So glad I am able to connect with someone like this, it's very heartwarming!
*raises a quiet hand* I draw my own characters. Got a degree in Graphic Communications too (that I don't actually use). Sometimes when I get especially inspired off of a RP, I like to draw other people's characters! I've yet to draw any actual RP scenes, but I'd love to one day!

Currently I'm in kind of an art slump, but I love seeing other artists out there who draw their own RP characters and the like!
Hewwo, it me. I draw for fun and RP for fun, but I've never tried to combine the two mostly because I don't have the supplies (i.e. a drawing tablet) to do it ;n;. I want to, though! Nice to meet all of you, the name's Ayden! If you guys would be interested in an art trade/RP, let me know. I draw traditionally, by the way XD
I've always drawn characters more than anything else. Character building is like.. my passion.

And you know, from that stems rp.

As a kid I used to draw paper dolls and play with those more than literally any toy I owned. My friend and I would come up with these epic soap operas involving these dolls lol. So I guess that was the start of it, from there I discovered online rp and then tabletop rp and continued to draw my characters, develop them and you know.. obsess over them ahah.

I do rather wish I was better at dynamics and drawing scenes, but i've always been first and foremost a character designer. Portraits and paper dolls are what I grew up drawing and i guess I never quite got outta that habit.
I try, but I get so frustrated with my inability to think in 3d and my dyspraxia kicks in and I get angry and then I kinda cry and it's all very ridiculous.
So yeah... just portraits and paper dolls for my own sanity hah.
Otherwise I weep at my desk like a child.

I do like to draw other people's characters but I find it frustrating when they don't have a visual reference or a detailed description. A lot of people just aren't that visial but for me, I have such a clear image in my head of my ocs I just find it frustrating and bewildering how many people seem to rp with faceless manniquins wearing clothes!
(you know what I mean right? When they spend 3 lines describing clothing but no info about facial features)
I loooove when I have references to work from or to visualise, heck yeah

I also LOVE maps and diagrams. We have a long term rp going on where we desperately need a map because omg it's so confusing keeping track of what's where and what's near to what.
I remember this old rp I was in the setting was so vuage that nobody really knew what was what and the site owner kept getting angry because several users had decided there was a lake and kept mentioning a lake and she'd scream "THERE IS NO LAKE!" and get really mad.
Now if we'd had a map, maybe that misunderstanding wouldn't have continued for so many years but as it was, because there WAS a nearby beach, apparently, it caused no end of confusion as to where the heck this building even WAS and how the grounds worked and all that (it was in the mountains, high in the mountains, but near a beach? wha?)
it didn't help we'd all migrated there from a very similar setting in a manor that DID have a lake (and rafters, we kept getting yelled at about assuming there were rafters too ahahah)

I uh... also paint dolls <_< so there's that too.. Ahem.
*sound of angry drawing in order to produce work to show in this thread*
i've been so into drawing rp scenes these past weeks, and also, so into rp in general, that'd be very down for finding a partner who does the same! tbh OP, i'd be happy to go off with you as we share a few rp-ing interests.

Same, same! Character design is just too much fun, and developing personality, so good.
I totally know what you mean. That phantom lake, hahaha
Paper dolls sound adorable, btw, and I actually did a doll customization myself for the first time this past year! It's a lot of fun, but a lot of work.

Sure, feel free to PM me sometime if you want!

To everyone, it's really great seeing so much activity here, please if you see someone with similar RP likes as you, and they look like fun, send them a little message! Let's spread the art-rp love. I'd love to hear if people found new RP partners through here :)
Can say without a doubt that I’m an rp doodler. I’ve just got a bad habit of either never finishing said doodle or not sharing them. So.. yeah. Hi. Names Jenn. I’m an artist, after a fashion.

Mostly do character designs. I’m big on vector based art, but I dabble in pixels as well as 3D modeling (Got a degree in graphic design and in game art, but there's a heck of a lot more to learn before I’d consider myself good at either of them).

RP wise, I love character development and world building. Details are my bread and butter. And.. yeah. That's pretty much it. If anyone wants to look at some of my stuff, there's links in my profile!
