((First part of The Walker's story

The strange, hooded man had been traversing the large forest for hours now. The giant trees blocked out most of the sun's light above their canopies, cloaking the place in a dark atmosphere yet also allowing The Walker to move in the shadows when need be.
He'd just woken up in this state a year ago. Upon looking in a nearby mirror, he didn't recognize himself whatsoever, nor did he manage to recall who he was, where he came from and how he got here. The black markings on his head were covered by the shadows of his hood, leaving only the lower part of his face and the thick beard to be seen by any he passed - which weren't that many people. If only he could just remember what this world looked like - at least he would be able to put things together and figure out his location by looking at the geography. But no, even that was impossible.
He remained tense the whole time, spells at the ready. He did have a number of spells engraved in his memory, or so it seemed. One of which sounded really interesting. He didn't want to try them out though. Making enemies while not even knowing who you are might be a really bad idea...

The birds chirped enchantingly seeming to uplift the dark atmosphere, every so often an animal, coming out from the shadows in search of food. The forest was ripe with game and that meant hunters were stalking their prey. His steps were silent, his hood dark enough to blend in with the shadows. Bow and arrow drawn, his crimson eyes analyzed the area as he crept through the ferns on the forest floor. Kneeling, he felt the soil. Animal tracks marked the ground beneath him and they looked fresh. Keeping himself low, he moved as he collected his track on the animal. The animal wasn't far and he knew it. He couldn't mess this up. It was large game he was going for, after all. Upon reaching a small spring in the woods, he stopped quietly in some ferns. A large bull elk stood lapping at the water. Slowly, he pulled out an arrow, balancing himself accordingly. Grasping the bows string and readying the arrow in place, he took a deep breath, drawing the bow string back to his cheek. The elk glanced up for a moment as he took a deep breath in. Upon exhaling, he fired the arrow. The bull elk fell to the forest floor, with a loud call of distress that echoed through out the area, causing birds to fly from their perches in the tree's branches. The elk lay on the ground, struggling and letting out cries as he approached. He stroked the elk slowly as he drew his dagger and finally put it out of it's misery. The area around him fell silent as he muttered something under his breath before letting out a bird call. By now, any animals around would have been alerted by the crying elk that something was wrong and went into hiding. But he at least got what he came for.

The Walker stopped dead in his tracks when he heard the Elk's distress call. He turned his head towards it, and was contemplating whether or not to go there. He probably should, since a shot Elk would mean a human, or at least a humanoid. He'd have to be careful though, he had found proof in the house that humans and elves weren't exactly what you call friendly with eachother. He quickly muttered some words and felt the force of a minor magical shield cover him. He then walked towards the noise, eventually appearing on the edge of the clearing. A man was crouching next to a Bull elk, The Walker couldn't yet see what race he was. "Hello?" he tried.

A horse trotted through the bush as he'd made the bird call. The horse came to a stop beside him as he, took the rope from the saddle. But then he heard approaching footsteps. He glanced slightly in the direction of them, his face barely visible. When the man called out to him, it only took the blink of an eye for him to suddenly jump to his feet, bow drawn with an arrow pulled back to his cheek. His horse whinnied as it took off into the brush, but the man seemed to care less seeing as he could call the horse back. The shadows of the forest concealed his identity under his black hood, with only the slight glow of his crimson eyes. He however did not say anything. He analyzed the man near the edge of the clearing and it was clear he was Human. The elf narrowed his eyes and pulled the arrow back a bit more, his arm steady and ready to fire if the Human dared venture closer.

The Walker quickly took notice of the bow, and of the elf's semi-agressive stance. He would shoot that weapon if the cloaked human would set one more step. Therefore, the Walker stood still. "I mean no harm. I Only desire knowledge of where I am, and what this forest is."

The elf didn't say anything at first, his eyes narrowing as he kept an eye on the man. He wouldn't let his guard down so easily just because some stranger had said that they meant no harm. It was a perfect chance for any person to attack. After a couple moment of silence from the male he spoke out with a deeper tone of voice. "You're in the Lisirra Woods. South of Sawyn in the Ethaellan colonies, human." His bow was still drawn back, ready to shoot. "Why are you here? Humans aren't welcome in Elven territory." A little bit in the distance, there was another bird call and the elven male turned his head slightly in the direction before looking back to the human. The neigh of a distant horse echoed.

The Walker shrugged and shook his head, ignoring the bird call in the distance. He did take note of it quietly though, seeing as the elf was interested in it. "I have no clue. I woke up in a cabin not too far from here. I have no memory whatsoever about anything before I woke."

The crimson eyed elf narrowed his eyes. He watched the man's expressions carefully, not entirely sure if he was telling the truth. To him, he seemed to be cautious to not provoke, meaning he didn't want a fight. He however wasn't very trusting, keeping his bow drawn. "I don't believe you."

The Walker thought for a moment. "Ask me a question that anyone would know about the history of the continent." he replied. It wasn't much, but the hooded man hoped it'd suffice for now.

The elf gave the man a weird look. "Anybody can lie about that..." he looked unamused as he then looked to his potion belt. He had just so happened to have bought a potion to force someone to tell the truth, for a friend of his. Glaring back at the man as he heard a nearby owl hoot. He seemed to think for a moment. "How about this... I have a potion in my potion pouch, that is meant to force someone to tell the truth." he suggested.

The Walker nodded. "If that'll convince you, then yeah, I'll do that." Honestly, he wasn't sure what would roll out over his lips. With that potion, maybe he'll say things he didn't remember...?

He stared at him for a couple moments before lowering his bow slowly, keeping it in one hand with the arrow. Taking out the potion, he tossed the little pink liquid filled vial over to the man and waited. Once he'd drink it he would ask, "So tell me, why you're here."

The Walker caught the potion and drank it down in one gulp, wiping any remainder from his lips with the back of his hand. He felt something deep in his stomach for a split second, but otherwise felt normal. He then spoke, and the words automatically left his mouth. "I don't know, I woke up here a few hours ago, in a cabin not far from here."

The elf sighed. OK, so it was obvious this man had suffered from some kind of amnesia and had been wandering around not knowing of what is going on, on this continent. He tilted his head slightly. "What continent is this? Do you know of the war going on?"

"Esperia." The Walker immediately replied. So I know that much at least. he shrugged at the next question. "Not really, but I found evidence for hostilities to be going on between elves and humans in the cabin."

He blinked. Now he was sort of curious about this cabin. "...What is your name? Are you apart of the human army?" he rather wondered if he was some kind of soldier or war chief, whatever humans have that had lost his memory.

He shook his head to both questions. "I don't know the reply to both of those questions, I'm afraid." he said.

He watched the man carefully, he still didn't trust him. "Show me the cabin?" he wanted to see this cabin for himself, seeing as the man had said he'd found something that gave him an idea of hostiles between the humans and elves.

The Walker nodded. "Alright, I will." he lowered his hands to his waist. "It's just this way." he stepped back, but didn't disappear yet so that he could make sure the elf was still following him.

The elf followed behind him closely, however still keeping a close eye on the human. Being was very untrustworthy of most anyways so it didn't make a difference usually.
