Luna touched one of her cold hands to her cheek, trying to cool it down. "O-okay, that sounds good." Her words shook as they came out.
Markal couldn't bring his eyes up to Luna, embarrassed by what had happened. "So, uh, looks like we have enough time to catch dinner before we hit the hay."
"Yeah." Luna said, unable to do the same thing. "Where should we go?" Her eyes found their way to her feet.
"I saw a small restaurant on the way here. We could go there if you want." He didn't really like the idea of eating at the inn at that moment.
Luna nodded and started to shuffle towards the door. Her eyes stayed on her feet, only glancing up to open the door. She stepped outside and waited for Markal to follow.
Markal stepped out the door and started walking back down the street, his hands in his pockets. He stopped in front of a restaurant and held the door open for Luna with a small smile. "Ladies first." He said, trying to lighten up the mood a little.
Luna looked up and gave him weak smile as a response and walked in. Once in, her eyes returned back to the floor as she shuffled farther in.
The restaurant was small and quaint with red tables and booths. Waiters and waitresses wove their way skillfully through the tables and took care of the customers. It had a nice homey feel and Markal felt himself instantly relax in the friendly atmosphere. He walked in and sat at a booth. A waiter came to bring them their menus and ask what they wanted to drink. "I'll take water please." He said as he perused the menu.
"Same" Luna said to the waiter then proceeded to pick up her own menu. She scanned it's contents, but didn't really read it. Her mind wouldn't let her. It kept drifting to other places. After awhile, she gave up in trying to read it. Her eyes stopped in one spot as her mind drifted to an unknown place.
Markal set down his menu after he decided what he wanted. "Hey, you ok? You're going into zombie mode again." He teased lightly.
Luna's head jerked as if she had Beene slapped. She stated at Markal before remembering where she was. "Huh?" was her only response as she gave him a blank expression.
"Oh," Luna looked down at her menu and pi led the first thing she saw. "A fruit salad, I guess."
The waiter came back with their waters and a small bowl of lemons. He took their orders, Markal giving a long list along with Luna's fruit salad. The waiter gave Markal an incredulous look but Markal's face stayed serious so he picked up the menus and left to give their order to the cooks.
Luna looked over st Markal curiously. "Why so much?" Seh asked while taking one of the lemons out of the bowl and pitched it over her water do that some Olof the juice dripped into it.
"Being part tiger makes me have to eat a lot more, cause tigers use up a lot of energy." He took one of the lemons and put it in the water, shoving it under the ice with his straw.
Luna nodded as she gently stirred her drink with her own straw. She took a sip and propped her elbow on the table, resting her head in her hand.
"What about you?" He asked, leaning back in his seat. "Just a fruit salad seems a little minimal, and we haven't eaten since this morning."
She shook her head. "I'm not a big eater." She admitted while she stirred her water more.
Markal nodded and smiled at the waiter when he brought them their food. He thanked the waiter and dug into his food. He'd refrained from ordering a lot of meat, as he didn't want to make Luna feel even more uncomfortable.
