SHOW ME YER SPARKLY PRICKLY TREES GUYS!

I helped my human set it up, and now I keep a close watch on the cat friends so they don't destroy the decorations!

Wait, wait, wait? Y’all have already decorated your trees?

Yup, some people do. I like Christmas trees so I'd rather have them for as long as possible.

Traditionally, people in the Netherlands started putting up their trees on the 21st of December. Nowadays, most people do it after Sinterklaas (esp if they have children) which is on December 6, but people without kids or who don't really celebrate it already do it on the first of December! It's very common here to have it on all month.

You're also supposed to keep the tree up until January 6th, but a lot of people do it soon after the new year has rolled around.

That's a nice city tree. Unfortunately over where I live they don't put up many decorations in town to 'respect other cultures and religions' and all that.

They can't even call the tree a tree because it's just large, plastic balls stuck together and over wrapped in tinsel tbh.

Having brought a kitten back from a Georgia truck stop a couple weeks ago, we decided trying to put up our usual tree with all our usual old, mostly glass ornaments would be a bad idea. So we went out and got



And equally tiny decorations, and set up this little scene on top of the pantry, complete with CRIMUS BIRBS and a birbhouse in the back there.
