Thank you for all your entries!
Judging has begun -- no more prompts can be submitted. An announcement will be made very shortly, so keep your eye on the thread!
It took a long while for the debating to end and for all the judges to submit their scores, but I finally have results!
Congratulations to Toastbusters, Gamers, CelestinaGrey, Oaky, Ben, Lenaria, Blackito and Sanne! These eight submitted 10 prompts between them that really caught the judge's interest; and more than that, the ideas were - or could be - flexible enough that a wide range of characters could step right in to the situation and start playing pronto.
An honorable mention is also extended to Sadrain for the following prompt:
With some minor editing, these prompts have been added to the RP Finder and you can start playing them right now.
Winners! Please let me know if your preference is for Epicness or character slots.

- Character A cannot sleep. The lack of rest begins to affect their well being. Character B is tasked with curing character A's insomnia.
- A hostage situation breaks out in the first ever sky casino. It is up to you and your group (or partner) to neutralize the situation at all costs. This flight must be successful.
- It's a normal day, life going on as it usually does. Suddenly all the natural light of the sun goes out. What has happened? Can it be fixed? It's up to you and your partner(s) to find out!
- Explorers uncover an ancient ruins in the jungle filled with more treasure than they have ever seen! Will they keep their sanity or will this shiny finding turn into a bloody gold rush?
- A group of friends is playing around, when one of them inexplicably goes missing. Everyone expects them to come back after a few minutes... But they don't. Police say the friend never existed/died years ago. Cue epic journey of discovery and secrets.
- A scheduled delivery turns dangerous when black market contraband is discovered in its contents. Who will arrive to deal with it first, the law, or the criminals responsible?
You've been arrested for a crime you didn't commit and thrown into the mines to work just like the rest of the criminals. But as time goes on you realize that none of the others deserved their punishments either: Or at least, they say they don't. Figure out what is going on. - A group of characters stumble across a structure seemingly made of nature itself in the middle of a forest. It opens up to welcome them into its dark interior, although when they step through they find themselves in the center of a very elaborate city composed of nature as well. Although this place appears to be a paradise, there's something more than meets the eye about it as they soon discover parts of their own bodies turning into plant life and losing feeling. It's a race against the clock as they try to find their way out before they're no longer who they are! Will they make it out in time?
- Water has become a scarce resource for a desert kingdom. Civil conflict has erupted, a small charm given by one [player's] grandmother may be the key to it all.
- The world is about to be swallowed by a natural catastrophe and there is no saving the planet. Without a way out, how will the last 21 days of our lives turn out?
An honorable mention is also extended to Sadrain for the following prompt:
- Looking for crew to join or a ship to hitch a ride on to the next big planet, a young navigator gets drawn into a deal with someone/something that could change their life forever... For better or for worse.

Huzzah!! Congratulations to all the winners!!
Holy cow! Yes! That rocks the house.
All of those prompts were really cool. I enjoyed reading all of them and they all made me wonder what would happen should I play them out.
Congrats to everyone!
Aaand now I must go RP, these prompts are truly prompting.
(Character slots are fine, thanks. )

I'm also curious- Who did the judging?
Ohhh! Yay! Congrats to all my fellow winners, but I had a great time reading all the entries and hope to see more of everyone's talent in the RP finder!
Epicness please

Congratulations, winners! You were tough competition, indeed. I know I'll be making use of your prompts very soon!
I feel like my loss was that I entered too short prompts, but I tried to keep with 150 characters. But in any case, the winning prompts are quite wholesome and epic, congratulations to their makers! I liked quite a few here within, though.
Thank you for honorable mention. In how long term must I get back at you for my chosen prize?

I won! First contest, muwahahaha! May I have character slots please? It was a good contest guys I liked alot of those! Can't wait until I start using some!
Sorry I'm up. Whoa. Congrats to all the winners and the honorable mention.
Character slots are fine with me.
Thanks!

Thanks!
I'm not sure why you think length was a factor, Sadrain! Only 2 of the 10 winners were appreciably longer than yours (and both were DRASTICALLY cut down before being put into the RP Finder). In fact, coming in 11 out of roughly 90 entries is pretty great!!
If you could let me know in the next week or two which prize you want, and whether you want it for yourself or for a friend, that would be great.
Sanne, Oaky, Ben, CelestinaGrey, Gamers and Blackito -- your prizes have been delivered.

This was an awesome contest, and definitely got the creative juices going! I'm sad that I didn't place, but with entries like those I can understand why! Those are awesome! Way to go peeps~
Yay! Thank you Kim.
Would it be okay to use the prompts that didn't place anyway? So many of them are so fantastic!

I honestly don't see what's stopping you from playing with them! They just don't turn up on the random button is all.
Thanks again!
No no, I meant... when I wrote them, I thought I should stick to limit strongly and that controlled my flow of thought and put certain frames and I would've come up with better things if I ignored the limit. And, yes, I am happy that I got the spot. ^^ Thank you.
And the thing is, I am currently not very active, won't be for a while more, so if I pick membership, it would go to waste. ): And I would like to 'activate' it later. If that's possible?

Over half (6) the winning entries stuck to the length limit and still won a prize.
._.; I am not saying it matters how big the prompt is for winning in the end, but when I actually wrote entries, I thought it was very important to stick to it to qualify and I couldn't put many of my ideas in that character limit, so I didn't write them and others got more bland definition. I am saying, I should've ignored the limit to let my imagination run free and wild and then they would've been more impressive not because length matters, but I myself didn't manage to express my self so well within it. So, I am really tipping an invisible hat to those who wrote so well within limit whereas I could not.
Oh wow! Congratulations to everyone! . This is such a nice thing to come home to. .
