He places Jack down and re-appears in the cave

“The will if my master...” he never finished, as he was hewn down by the blade. But as he died, another figure took his place; he too was robed, but with a crown of jagged iron adorning his head and a sadistic smile on his ancient face. “Perhaps you think that death silences his voice,” he smirked, “but his soul serves forever in the Netherworld, as a grand vassal of our lord. It would be wise not to try that again, despite being surrounded by the element of the Enemy.”

She smirked As the water started flowing over his head

The blade passed through him, as though he did not exist. “Did you expect that to be so easy,” he sneered, “my master is more cautious with one of his highest generals than he is with humble servants.”

“His offer still stands, daughter of the false,” the figure turned to her, “unless you prefer weakness to immense power.”

“Now tell me, do you have it?”, he says to the spider

She had seen the power she could wield it and she wanted more.

“I admire your courage, child of Neptune,” he replied, “though the name is not ‘mr eyeball dude,’ I am Artok the Advisor, right hand of my master, the everliving Netharan, First of the Fallen, Last of the Scourged, and your willingness to follow his path shall reap you great rewards.”

“Of course, child,” he responded, “but you must first prove yourself to his path; unless your ambition is stronger than your willingness to learn.”
