He cleared his throat
“ she used to be from the Roman camp but an accident happened. Enemy half blood was fighting with her. When she seemed to just snap. She drained his blood. Since blood is liquid . And she went to camp half blood. Had a few adventures blah blah blah . now a blood slave would probably be about 3000 Denare”

"Denare?"He tilts his head, unfamiliar with that word

“ it’s the Roman currency. If you look in her pocket you’ll see one. ‏ try not to flip it . the heads up side will give you a sword and the tails will give you a javelin.”

He walks over to her and puts his hand in her pocket. He takes out the coin, looking at it, then tosses it at Jack

He caught it flipping it over as the javelin expanded
“See. Pretty neat Huh? she’s borrowing it from Jason Grace “

He walks over to Ruby"I asked you a question"

“ I can handle a lot of pain. But I’m fine with my height “
She said her fists clenched

"Lay down"

“What why?”

"For your reward"

She reluctantly got on the ground

He puts his hand on her and she feels something growing under her skin, but it soon goes down, but then it grows again...then goes back down, then grows even more, so on and so forth

She twitched slightly
“ what are you doing ?”

"strengthening your bones"

“Ok uh thanks “

"It will let you hold heavier weights, and makes it so you can take more damage before breaking your bones"

The movement stops

She stood up rubbing her back

Jack was smiling

"Do you like the gift?"He looks her in the eyes
