I was thinking about a shy girl being new to this neighborhood and is having trouble interacting with society because of how bashful she is. She used to be bullied and also used to be a cheerful bundle of joy but it all changed when her friend turned against her and did things that weren't so...pretty.
Your character is a male/female (since the 'shy girl' is bisexual) so they notice this weird side of the shy girl and start to judge her mentally. But, they soon realize that she's just an innocent walking cotton ball that has done nothing wrong. You start to try to form a friendly relationship with her which she barely trusts you but pretends like she does to see if you would do the same thing that her ex-best friend did in the past. A few months are slowly going by and the 'shy girl' is slowly, step-by-step, is starting to trust you. The two begin to bond together often, while the 'shy girl' starts to share her moments and starts to talk to you more often than others but is still socially awkward.
