Hey there, welcome to RPR! Don't stress too much about the way RP is supposed to go, most people are pretty up front with the kind of RP's they are expecting, but in general there are few wrong ways to do it, as long as both of you are having fun and no one's getting hurt

The site has some awesome guides and tips to help you improve your RP game if you want, not to mention the people are friendly and welcoming and willing to answer any questions you may have! Or at least, defer you to someone who can answer if they themselves do not know!
