Hello people!, so this is my first attempt at trying to pitch an Idea for a forum RP on this site so I hope the idea interests you guys so hope you enjoy and consider potential doing it:

Almost a thousand years ago there existed only Men and Monsters, with Humanity eventually prevailing against the monsters after years of war after a cataclysmic event simply called 'The Rebirth' which wiped out most of monster kind and gave humanity the chance to prosper into a new age of piece and tranquility, with this time also sprouting several other races such as the Elves which live in the woodlands, Highly technologically advanced Dwarves which live in the cold mountainous regions to even the many nomadic Orcish tribes in the hottest desert tundras in the lands, However not all things in this world remain calm forever and soon enough wars waged across each of the races as they fought for land, money, equal rights and whatever reason came into their heads worthy enough to be a reason for them to go too war.

now skip to modern day and now the world is in a state of global unrest between each other and are at the brink of yet again another war, however their is a darker force afoot in the background, with the formerly almost extinct monsters slowly growing in power and numbers and becoming more of a looming and dangerous threat towards the populace.

Now the select few who have noticed this growing danger have decided to finally take action against it, deciding to hire a group of adventurers/mercenaries or anyone who can get the job done without arousing any suspicion upon the general populace...this is where our story begins!

so that's basically it!, i hope you enjoyed the brief synopsis of what i've came up with, for this RP I was reckoning a group of 5 people seems (Including myself) sounds like an alright number to aim for though i'm alright with a smaller group honestly, Dice rolls would also be pretty cool to use in the RP in some way as i've never actually tried it out before and sounds like it would make things alot more fun!

anyway just message the forum asking about it, maybe even put a link to a potential character to what were using and hopefully this'll get off of the ground and be a fun RP for people to do!

Sweet!, I forgot to say that the characte i'll be using is gonna be Serate (he's currently the only character on my profile but i think i've done a good job on him for a first character)

and now we wait for 2-3 other to join our merry band!

Would a life cleric fit what you've got in mind?

Yes of course!, anything which can fit in a fantasy setting is allowed!

I'm thinking of starting this RP when we get 1-2 more people so if any of you know anybody else may be interested in this RP idea let them know if thats cool with you?

What kinds of powers and abilities would be acceptable for player characters to have if I were to consider joining? I am working on an elvish/fae character but the concept I have would probably be considered fairly OP (overpowered) for a lot of settings.

Well for the character I'm suing is part dragon, and for character's what are part magical creature/monster I would advise
maybe not making them a simply half and half hybrid of the two, like maybe have them be a quarter of that magical being or jsut having some kind of link/association towards fairies in general, then you can kinda limit the extent of their abilities and then thinking about certain conditions/handicaps when it comes to their skills and possibilities when they overuse those abilities.

Wow!, that character sounds pretty awesome and unique not gonna lie, she sounds pretty sweet to roleplay as a character and i'd be glad to let you hoin and play as her! (though when it comes to any self harm/cutting herself would it be cool for you to either tone down the frequency she does it or just have it happen behind the scenes)

anyway we have a perfect amount of people to get this show on the road!, any objections on people wanting to start the RP ASAP?!

Thanks, man! I've been developing this character for awhile and trying to flesh them out. (And yeah, the self-harm stuff I was gonna keep in the background unless it needed to be mentioned for rp purposes. I don't really wanna write about that stuff, ya know.)

And yeah, I'm ready to go whenever.

Well, I didn't really mean half and half, I just meant that sometimes she's called one thing, sometimes the other, depending on the world and setting, if that makes sense?

But yeah the concept does already come with some limiters in mind which I can emphasize for the sake of balance.

I'm looking forward to it, but doubt I'll be able to get my first post in until Wednesday. (Not that that should stop you from getting the intro up!)

Alrighty then, ill get a intro up as soon as possible, probably at aroubd early januaryish tine cus of the hokisdays and stuff what are goong doen which also gives time to put up character bios and stuff on the mean time

What do you mean?

he seems to fit into a more modern/apocalypse setting

plus we already have enough people for the RP currently and adding more may cramp it a little bit
