A guard tosses you into the small room. Before you can even get to your feet and look out at the other side, the door is closed. You run up against it, slamming your whole body into it. There's no response.
Here you are. The room is covered, from roof to ceiling, in soft white panels. A bright light is at the top. It's not going to turn off, change color, or get any dimmer. There's no furniture within the enclosed space. The outline of the door isn't even visible. You're to be here a while. However long is a mystery to you. But no matter how long, you aren't getting out until then.
You sit against the wall. That's when you hear something...
"H-Hello?"
I kinda had the idea to experiment with a new form of RP. The basic concept is that your character is in isolation, and you're only able to talk to another character via a means that allows you to hear them, though never see them. You have no other means of communication.
While I used a stereotypical padded room in an asylum as an example, the form of isolation as well as communication can change. Maybe you and the other character are trapped in cabins by snow in a medieval fantasy environment, where a magical item is your only means of communication. Or maybe it's modern times, where you and the other character just choose to stay in your own homes and talk via the internet. These factors are variable.
I just felt like posting this idea here, seeing if it'd gain some traction. It seems like a great idea to study and improve character dialogue, as well as provide some interesting interactions.

This does indeed sound incredibly interesting. I would love to do this and make a character for it as well if you're interested. Though I could use some existing characters that I have if you'd prefer.
