Roses are red.
Clouds are grey.
I like the same gender...
Oh crap, I think I might be gay.

Could be. Are you concerned about the position that might put you in, or are you just feeling silly?
No, I'm serious.
I'm just really confused at the moment, and I'm also worried if my parents were to find out...

What I meant was if this was a concerning revelation, or a known thing you just felt like sharing with a cute little poem. Sounds like the former.
First: congratulations on taking steps to learn about yourself. You mention being confused, and that's completely okay. If you find out it's actually something else, that's still 100% okay. Learning is good.
Second: Do you have reason to believe your parents would be upset? The ones with bad reactions definitely do exist, so your concern it complete valid. More and more parents are being supportive and understanding, though.
Third: If you feel like you need to talk, I'd like to suggest the Here For You group. It's a group of folks mutually seeking support - giving it where they can, and asking when they need it. Most of us aren't straight, either, and in different ways.

Thank you. I appreciate it!
I mean, my parents have said stuff in the past such as "I'm too young to understand" and whatnot.
But yeah...

Well if you are, it's okay! I second Nova's recommendation of the group Here For You. It's a neat little forum where people rant and encourage. It's great.
So I dunno how old you are and I'm not asking but I will say, for me, 8th grade (plus or minus 13 years old) was when I knew that I liked only girls. It different for different people, but for me, it always stayed the same from the moment I realized it until now. So...maybe there's such a thing as being too young to know...but I would think that age would be...like 8 or something. If you're a teenager then you're gonna probably know something about who you like and who you don't. Anyway, *hugs and support* No matter what, remember that you are perfect. You are perfectly you!

Honestly, I've heard of folks knowing their gender preference as young as 5, when they start school and are meeting a lot more kids. Yeah, sometimes it's as silly as little boys announcing they'll marry their mothers, but it still shouldn't be dismissed as "You're too young to know that." Kids need to be allowed to explore and wonder and learn.
But legally, to make an internet account, a person must be at least 13. Companies are not permitted to store information on (and thus cannot permit and account to) anyone younger than that. And 13 is plenty old enough to be questioning one's own identity.
Maybe they're right. Maybe they're only partly right (I doubt they're totally wrong). Maybe it'll change. Any of that is okay. It's all part of learning.

Thanks for the support! I hope one day it'll all come clear, and when it does I'll say!
Keep in mind these things can be super confusing, so it's okay if you end up with "this describes me best" instead of "this is absolutely me."
I mean, I just turned 30, and I'm still like, "I think I'm ace, but maybe I'm demi? I don't know what this is, I don't know how to compare... So I'll stick with ace because it makes the most sense to me."
Whatever you decide makes sense, rock on.

I'm bisexual and have known since I was born pretty much but only in the last couple hears did I figure out I'm also demisexual.
If you need someone to talk to, I'm here, but you're never to young to know and never too old to figure something out either.

Thank you, really!
Okay, i'm not going to do a full speech, but i'm just saying that I know how you feel. The best way to deal with this is to just not give a crap about what others say, and love who you want. If you're comfortable, tell your parents. If they try to deny it, walk away. Nobody can tell you who you are. But if you're confused, there are websites that offer free help and advice.
Good luck, fellow comrade!

I feel as though everyone, at some point in there lives, tries to explore their sexuality, and that may be all this is, but it could also mean something different! I'm not one to tell you which one of these scenarios you're experiencing. I suppose you just go for what's right to you. If you're really not sure, try to find someone you trust to talk to, or like everyone else is saying, try talking to people online. They are all willing to help you and will happily greet you with open arms
Don't worry friend! I myself love all genders and people equally. I can understand the parents not getting you thing because I haven't had the guts to talk mine yet. But if yours are understanding, then you should be honest with them. Honesty is always the best policy.

Like Damnation said, feel free to talk if you want to talk about it.
