it started out as a normal day for the kids who lived in the sohma house. They woke up , ate breakfast , went to school came home , had dinner and now where all quietly in their rooms doing homework. All except tohrou who was in the kitchen cleaning. It was indeed a very normal day and a very boring one at that , well untill the front door swung open and a girl with long orange hair with white tips, kept in a low ponytail and a gray T-shirt with a pair of black jeans and black sandels. The most outstanding feature though was the large guitar case she carried on her back. she calmly looked up and down the main hall before calling " ANYONE HOME". Yuki quickly stepped out of his room and just as quickly ran back in and slammed the door as if he was terrified. " oh now yuki , no need to be scared , i won't hurt you" she called as she walked down the hall. She then stopped in front of the living room when she saw a familiar face "oh looky its mr.tiger"

Markal was surprised by the sudden noise and went to investigate. The day had been going by somewhat slow and he hoped maybe something interesting was going on. He stepped out of his room with a simple pair of jeans on and a black fitted T-shirt. "What..?" He saw the figure of Yuki just before he escaped to his room. Markal looked up and saw Rita. "Rita!" He broke out in a wide grin. "Bout time you got back! How've you been?" He saw Tohrou exiting the kitchen also, looking to see who had come in.

" hey , its good to see someone misses me , unlike yuki WHOSE JUST COWERING IN HIS ROOM" she put yelled out the last bit of her sentence just so yuki would hear. At that moment she noticed tohrou " oh hello ... who are you she asked with a slight head tilt. she then looked at Markal with curiosity.

He laughed but Yuki seemed content to hide in his room for the moment. "This is Tohrou. Tohrou, this is Rita. She's also a member of we zodiac animals."

Rita smiled at Tohrou as she began to fluster about " oh oh my , welcome" she said " it's a pleasure Tohrou, I'm Rita Sohma the fox". Tohrou's face dropped into confusion "wait .. fox .. but .. the fox isn't in the zodiac" Rita smiled and chuckled " yea think about it though , in the story of the zodiacs , it was god who invited all the animals right , well what animal do you think god was"

Tohrou's confusion was to be expected but Markal couldn't help chuckling a little. Shigure walked in and saw Rita also. "Ah, Rita. Welcome! How was your studying?"

rita turned around to face shigure " ah , it went well , but i'd rather stay here in japan and go to school" just as Kita was talking to Shigure Kyo came running down the stairs "AHH WHATS THAT DAMNED FOx DOING HERE" Rita smiled and walked over to kyo and slamed her forehead on his " well.. it sure is nice to meet you to kyo , it has been about 3 years now" dispite the fact rita was smiling she was clearly angry.

Markal laughed. He seemed the only one happy to see Rita again. It looked like Rita and Kyo were about to get into a fight and he saw Shigure hurry off to safely hide the more breakable items in the house.

rita and kyo continued their glare off when yuki poked his head out " You stupid cat do you have a death wish" kyo's glare moved from Rita to Yuki " shut up you damn rat this is between us" yuki sighed and walked over too tohrou and Markal " he really is stupid". Tohrou then looked up at Yuki with a confused look " what do you mean , shes not that strong is she"yuki sighed and looked a little scared as he replied " in all honesty , she's stronger than , me , kyo and kagura combined" tohrou could feel the shiver go up her spine as she looked from yuki to Rita.

Markal saw the nervous look on Tohrou's face. "Don't worry Tohrou, you only have to be worried if she's mad at you." He chuckled and looked at Kyo. "If she was, I'd suggest running the other way. But you're pretty sweet, I don't think you'll have a problem." He looked back at Tohrou with a reassuring smile.

shigure quickly poked his head back in after hiding the breakables " um ... Rita" he said a bit scared. Rita mover her glare from kyo to shigure " hmm" she said normally "what is it" shigure smiled sweetly with a clear fear plastered on his face " well you see , i gave your room to tohrou , sooo ... um" Rita stepped back a bit taking her head off of kyo causing him to fall forward and onto his face. as she became silent yuki quickly stood in-front of tohrou. " hmmmmm , i see" she said as she looked up a moment " say shigure , you still have that basement right" shigure gave a slight nod in response "y-yea , but its not very clean and it needs some repairs". Rita sighed and looked at tohrou " don't worry im not gunna kick you out of your room , i'll just fix up the basement"

Markal tensed up a little, fearing maybe he'd jinxed Tohrou. He relaxed when he heard Rita would take the basement though. An easy grin that was usually on his face drifted back and he motioned towards the guitar case Rita had brought in. "You learn any new songs?"

Rita looked at her guitar on her back " oh yea , a couple , but i won't be playing any right now .. i have to get started on that basement... shigure" shigure jumped when Rita looked at him " uh yea .. its in the same place" Rita smiled and waked down the hallway to the very end where a small door sat on the floor. Rita grabbed the handle and a huge cloud of dust came out. After coughing a bit Rita headed down there. once out of sight yuki and shigure both sighed with relief. yuki then grabbed shigure and with a very angry expression said " why didn't you tell us she was coming back"shigure forced a half chuckle " oops .. slipped my mind"

Markal snorted, wondering how he could forget about someone that scares them silly. He went back to his room, hoping Akito didn't send her away again. He sat down at his desk and stared at the homework he'd been doing when Rita came in and sighed.

Rita looked over at Markal "whats up" As she spoke she patted her hands clean of any dust followed by patting her clothes " it sure is dusty down there"

Markal laughed. "I completely forgot we even had a basement. If you want help fixing it up, I'll be free to help." He glanced back at his paper and sighed again. "I'm just having a little trouble with these math problems."

Rita shook her head as she looked down at his paper " nah , can handel it ... you're not carrying the X right here* she then pointed at one of the problems on his paper. Then she leaned back and tohrou came in the a drink "thank you Tohrou" she said and tohrou smiled

"Of course." He laughed and did as she showed him. He took a warm cup of green tea from Tohrou and thanked her.

tohrou took this opportunity to st and talk to Rita " so... um besides your strength , im sure theres a reason yuki is scared of you and kyo isn't" Rita looked at her for a second than laughed " well kyo is the simplest answer, he so stupid he doesn't know real fear , as for yuki , there was one time he saw me get into a fight with some kids who were bullying him, lets just say all the blood iscarred him for life"

So that's why... Markal thought. Yuki hadn't exactly been willing to talk about it and Markal had only just moved into the house a few months after Tohrou. Yuki seemed pretty popular though, whether he wanted to be or not, so Markal was a little puzzled about who had been bullying him. He pushed the thought away as he got back to the homework though. He was almost done, and it seemed a lot clearer after Rita had explained it.
